De Niro, I have to disagree with you on this, ashamed to be a blue..the only thing causing me shame at the moment is the number of fans posting and calling in to phone ins at the moment.

Both
The Hughes Outers...who are saying we should be top 4, challenging for the title and beating everyone around, making us look like impatient children who want it all now, now now and not the loyal fans we really are

The Hughes Inners...who are agreeing with the media who are ripping us a new one, saying that our owners know nothing about football and we're ruining football single handedly.

I'm starting a new group, it's for those who want to support the manager, players, clubs and fellow fans, keep the gallows humour that we're known for and loyalty... haven't got a name yet, might just stick with "City Fans"

Agree 100% Now where do i sign up for this new group?

Amazing that some people are aiming such pious and inaccurate bile at the owners.

I'd love to know if these same people were so vocal during the reign of the odious Thaksin - a man who really did bring shame on the name of Manchester City, tarnishing it with all sorts of issues, all whilst not caring about the club and taking it to the brink.

If these people are so vocal about the current owners moving on a manager who they baacked to the hilt but still didn't perform than I assume that they went on hunger strike or something similar to protect the good name of Manchester City when it was really under threat from someone with terrible motives.

(or weren't they bothered about the good name of the club then because they hadn't invested so much energy in bigging up a manager and then being gutted when he couldn't hack it?)

Spot on.
Pathetic bleating on here by some posters (a minority)

Yeah, it wasn't Swales, or Franny Lee, or Wardle who did that to you, it was Khaldoon because they brought their man in after backing the old manager for 18 months and to the tune of £200m.

Bastards they are.

Out and out - Tight ones at that.

Get real 18 months and £200 million to spend on players. His back room staff - entirley he even moved out Castell from the youth team - most important man at the club to move his own people in. The owners spent 6 million rebuilding the training complex - to his specs.

Never given a chance you are having a laugh, massively underacheived with what he was given, no other manager in the history of english football has been given what he had with the possible exception of Morinho at Chelsea.

Our defence is a disgrace, its impossible to put into words how angry I and all the other fans I sit with are watching the goals we let in 3 of them yesterday just beyond embarrasing.

I am not ashamed of the club at all they have done what they felt that had to, we were heading towards another midtable finish, the owners were not willing to right off the season when they had options with £200 milllion spent - I cant blame them.

There is no easy way of getting rid of a manager, look at how Newcastle treated Robson. Doesnt make it right but its a results business Hughes - he knew that gets a £10 million pay off for doing a shit job my heart bleeds for him.; He willbe back in work in 6 months, but as a great man once said that the last time a street guy will be given something that valuable to fuck up again.

In what way was 6th place with a game in hand heading for mid table. Some people will never let their hatred of Hughes get in the way of the facts. Yes the defence was not good but I believed that Toure would be great but I wrong. Lescott seemed to be improving as was Richards.

I am just suggesting that many fans especially on the forums had an agenda against Hughes from day 1 and those same fans are now demanding that we all support the new manager based on blind faith.

I will wait for the results first and until then please allow me my right to be sceptical

Billy, I congratulate you on the best post of the lot regarding this issue. The players will change, the managers will change, but the fans will be here for ever.

Bang on there mate. Said earlier that I thought it had become more about not being 'wrong' for some than it was about what was best for the club, and sadly some seem to have become bigger supporters of Mark Hughes than they are of Manchester City, and that is more reason to be ashamed of being a City fan than anything the owners have done.

Personally I am disgusted with the way some of our fans are lining up to take a smack at our club simply because they backed a lame horse with such vigour.
