hughes on dunne

All in all Dunny was a decent enough chap and a decent enough player. Who was well paid. No, handsomely paid. He was a good servant for the club over 9 odd years and collected £???? in reward. Fair play to him.

BUT, a £2m pay off????

I did say a few days ago that I felt he deserved some recognition for his service to the club, especially as he was due a testimonial next year. I still feel that up to 10% of the fee was possibly suitable and I still stand by that figure, approx £500k 0 £600k but no more.

If he did get £2m then shame on him for going to the press with this nonsense. If he did then it is only an illustration of how unsuitable he was to our more prosperous looking future.

If your face dont fit in with the plans then your gone. The thing we know how bad all the back 4 played at times last season yet there are still players from that back 4 still playing who were by far worst than Dunne last season. Yet Dunne was the easy person to pick and put the blame on. I think Dunne would of been well up for the battle for places but it just wasn't to be which is a shame as he deserved a chance that the other defenders got.

in fairness one thing hughes doesnt have is time, if he thinks dunne isnt good enough he has to replace him as it is him who will get the sack, the defence was poor so he saigned given lescott and toure, also he might think bridge deserved more time as he has not been here that long, so he has pretty much replaced the defence

if he is right or wrong results will tell which is all we can judge anyone on

'Loyalty' means staying put. Did he not do so?? Or did I imagine him playing for, last season??

And, yes, it was his JOB to play for us, I agree. So why does it bother you what he was paid to do his job?? That IS the real world. You just can't accept that.

It's called 'envy'. Let it go.

are you being stupid on purpose where the hell did i say i was bothered that he was getting paid, i dont mind opposing views but why make things up, and it was known that he was after a transfer under thaksin but accepted and larger contract from us that isnt loyalty.

are you saying city should keep players who have been here for years even if the manager doesnt think they are good enough? what the hell is peoples problem with city selling a player who has been here for a while? every club has done it, its a professional club and these decisions get made all the time its not the end of the world

You kept mentioning his wages, like it was an issue! And have I said I had an issue that he was sold? No. I was defending the fact that it's a trait that Human Beings can react, regardless of 'professionlism'.

You have a problem with that, it seems.

Is THAT the best you can do???

PMSL!!

Poor.

Petty. Sums you up recently though...no sweat mate. I've had my say enough. You just sound increasingly bitter. Even the "ooh I'm so much smarter than you" act is failing you. I suggest you give the footballing board a break...

Hahaha!!

Desperate.

Petty again.

Look Bigga - it's really sweet that you want to play a game of one upmanship with me. I'm kind of flattered since you're probably over a decade older than me. However, the truth is we are never going to agree on Hughes. Something which is fair enough. You are smart enough to not resort to Mike D levels of sleep inducing negativity. But don't come crawling up my arse looking for a fight, then try and take the moral high ground when it's clear I couldn't give one fuck...

Like I said, take a leaf out of certain other posters' books and give the footballing board a miss if you can't handle people supporting their club, team, and manager, collectively...

I'm a City fan. Not a Mark Hughes fan or a Richard Dunne fan or a Sheik Mansour fan. A City fan. That's where my loyalty lies 100% of the time.

Now I'm not saying we can't be thankful for some of the lads who worked hard for us in the past, especially those who have the good grace to keep their mouths shut when they leave the club, but it's all about moving onward and upward, especially in these exciting times.

Whether he asked to leave or was forced out, only a fool couldn't see that Dunne was surplus to requirements. Although never a huge fan of the guy as a footballer, he always came across as a likeable chap and I wish him the best of luck at Villa. That said, I hope Adebayor turns him inside out making him look a prick, before slotting one home. Or even better, Lescott out jumps him (not hard) and scores from a corner.

Thats bollox Billy just becuase I'm not as niave to believe someone who's been here 5 minutes as opposed to player who has lead the club been crowned player of the year 4 times on the bounce. The clear arguments is who do you believe in?

But lets not rock the boat because all is great we've spent a boat load of money and everything is gonna be just fine and if its not we'll throw more money at it.

Okay Bill lets go through Hughes has achievements whilst managing our the club, give me something to be positive about.
pathetic, as usual.

Okay De Niro lets have your list of achievements
