hughes on dunne

I love the way that the anti-Hughes mob now call any support or defence of him tubthumping and yet whenever they knock him at the slightest opportunity then that apparently constitutes reasoned debate. lol.

You will very rarely get the "middle men" commenting in threads like this because it's made for the two sides to go to war. You know what they say, the minority have the loudest voices.

what i find odd is why, why would you want our club and manager to fail? i dont remember stuart pearce being slagged off like this, sven lost the plot, what is it with hughes?

closet rags come to mind, i think they are truly fearfull of forthcoming city success.

i can't think of one other single reason, i really can't.

pathetic, as usual.

Okay De Niro lets have your list of achievements

if you can't see the progress we have made under his management then i fear for you, we were dire, absolutly dire in all areas of the club.
now the amatures have left the place lets see what the proffessionals can do.

our club was rotten to the core and i say well done mark hughes, you were just the type of manager we needed.he has made mistakes of course he has, we however dont have inside knowledge to why's and wherefores? to his thinking, all i am worried about is where we are now, how well run we are now, what we are about to achieve now, and the fact that arsenal are coming to town on saturday and i'm not the least bit worried, that alone is one hell of an achievement for city.

would we take capello? who would'nt.
jose morinio? at one time yes, now i'm not too sure.

thats how high i rate our manager.

Hahaha! You really believe you don't slag anybody off that has another view, do you? As soon as ANYBODY mentions Hughes, your radar flickers into action!! Those people become 'anti-fans'/'anti-City'! It's quite silly when you think about it!

It's actually YOU that has the problem, but you just don't see it.

Typing words in CAPITALS won't make them anymore true. You are completely generalizing about my posting to try and give your own argument some more weight. I myself have criticized Hughes on occasions, so rest assured, I have no problem with justified criticism. When I talk about anti-supporters I talk about people who incessantly only post negative things about Hughes and his staff. People who are rendered mute whenever something good happens on the field - unless it's to say that the on field success is inspite of Mark Hughes. I'm talking about those supporters who haven't quite gotten over the sacking SGE, and still harbour some sort of irrational dislike for Hughes simply, because he was the man who replaced him. I could go on but you catch my drift...

I think if you take a stop back you'll see that your incessant attempts at baiting me in this thread have failed miserably. Like I said, move on man...

Yet again, you ignore what's being said. Every one of us like the fact we are winning, in spite or otherwise of Hughes.

I don't generalise about your attacking posts when you have written them yourself. One cannot comment on Hughes' cloak and dagger treatment of anybody outside of what seems to be his clique. There have been several players that have gone that have told a similar themed story about their treatment, but they must all be bitter as those are that question Hughes' methods.

Can it just not be that there is a grain/ line of truth there from those departed? can it just not be that Hughes has created a 'them and us' division which makes players like Petrov unhappy? Or is it just a 'whatever(I'll 'bold' to suit you) a manager does is fine by me' attitude?

Don't have a go at others if they don't like that in a manager. It's their opinion.

I'm offering debate/ discussion but you see it as 'baiting'.

"Empty vessels..." and all that...

I'm a City fan. Not a Mark Hughes fan or a Richard Dunne fan or a Sheik Mansour fan. A City fan. That's where my loyalty lies 100% of the time.

Now I'm not saying we can't be thankful for some of the lads who worked hard for us in the past, especially those who have the good grace to keep their mouths shut when they leave the club, but it's all about moving onward and upward, especially in these exciting times.

Whether he asked to leave or was forced out, only a fool couldn't see that Dunne was surplus to requirements. Although never a huge fan of the guy as a footballer, he always came across as a likeable chap and I wish him the best of luck at Villa. That said, I hope Adebayor turns him inside out making him look a prick, before slotting one home. Or even better, Lescott out jumps him (not hard) and scores from a corner.

This post says it all for me. Dunne was due to leave; thanks for the memories Richard, and good luck. Now, when is City's next game? ;0)

Couldn't care less if he was forced out or not; it appears Cook might have been disrespectful, but really, it's hardly the end of the world, or something that doesn't happen at all clubs.

I completely agree. Bloody Hell, that's a first de Niro ;)

I agree 100%. The only reason I can think of too.

Come on here after our first defeat and they will be clear for all to see.

I believe our manager and think you are out of order for suggesting that I am out of order. I am glad Dunne has gone, not good enough for the level we want to be playing at.
Bye bye Dunne, you did ok and got paid very well for it. you received a nice nig pay off and have gone to another club where you win the lottery every week.
You know, that's what many peopole say about Hughes.

I do wonder sometimes...

I'm struggling to think of a single player who has left, and then had a go at Hughes. Fuck, even Elano, once he'd left, said he had no problems with the manager. The "clique" you refer to, is probably nothing more shocking than a group of players Hughes believes in, rather than a group of players he inherited.

Can it just not be that there is a grain/ line of truth there from those departed? can it just not be that Hughes has created a 'them and us' division which makes players like Petrov unhappy? Or is it just a 'whatever(I'll 'bold' to suit you) a manager does is fine by me' attitude?

Once again, what has the manager done other than put together a group of players he believes in. Petrov's unhappiness is seemingly at being on the bench, and not being considered a regular first teamer anymore.

Don't have a go at others if they don't like that in a manager. It's their opinion.

What a piss weak argument you've just put forward. You don't like the manager because he treats players who he doesn't think are good enough differently, than those he believes in.

I'm offering debate/ discussion but you see it as 'baiting'.

"Empty vessels..." and all that...

Again. Petty. Becoming a running theme with you isn't it...

Agree with both you...

De Niro - it's great to see your belief in Hughes has grown. Mine too, to be honest...
