Although I want Hughes to stay and hopefully become a success I can't understand the need many of you feel to absolve him off all blame. Fair enough he has inherited some shit but his tactics and substitutions leave a lot to be desired. Why, in a cup game, sub a defensive midfielder like for like and the do the same for Caicedo and Jo? We should have really been gunning for it and sacrificed the midfielder or a defensive player for a more attacking option / formation.

I feel that I, and many others, may be victims of the way the media is constantly spouting a brainwashing view that Hughes is an undoubtedly talented manager. I am yet to see it for City although I do agree his signings have been good so far.

Onwards and upwards I hope but am still reserving my judgment 'til the end of the season.

who the fuck do the players think they are to decide when they think there going to put the effort in or what manager they think theyd like to play for

You lost me on number 2 "We don't play the long ball" lol - next time you are at the game just look at the back 4 when Hart has the ball. I'll bet youu 100 times out of 100 not one of the back four is looking at Hart. They are expecting the ball to be punted, hoofed, wellied, blarted right over their heads, almost always losing possession. Are you telling me thats not the long ball??

we do not play long ball tactics...yes Hart hoofs it and so does Dunne.... but in the main we dont play the long ball game... i think it was FAT SAM who said when Arsenal or United do it its a Long Pass but when Notlob do it it was the Long Ball !!!!

The long ball is OK when it's accurate or it is the only option. In all of the most successful teams, the long ball is regarded as a last resort, and is not in any book of possession football tactics. If you like watching that kind of football fine, but I don't think ADUG will put up with it.

Hughes must stay. Players like Elano and Vassell were either lazy or bottlers under Sven and are now bottlers under Hughes. Its the players that are at fault.
Hughes' hands are very much tied at this stage. I am sure that he is fully aware of the problems with the squad and he deserves the chance to build his team.

Hughes is the bloody manager, Mr Tactician, Mr Motivator.
He sat on his arse all the way through that game, not once did he go into his area, screaming, pointing, shouting at players. Even Studge had to go to the bench and chat after Elano tried to make some changes on the pitch.
We were totally disorganised and had no direction.
Players and Management both to blame.

Mark Hughes needs to go now. Frank Rikjaard does not have a job, so we could have him signed up within 48 hours. Then we would be nearly as attractive as Chelsea with that man as our coach.

i am not saying there are not better managers than mark hughes and yes in answer to your question i would snap frank rijkards hand off or martin jol
what i am saying is tho is that there is no way we should ever bow to player power or accept a player not giving his all in our shirt just because he doesnt like the manager or the new rigourous harder than he is used to training regime
i hope that makes my position a bit clearer

i am not a blind hughes is god follower but he at the moment is our manager and therefore the players do exactly what he tells them or they fuck off

MH has eluded to some of this is his post match comments on the official site.......saying something like that we are not strong enough for 5-6 players to underperform........


it is simple: too many players are not good enougfh......people need to stop deluding themselves and just going for the easy target of MH

gelson....headless chicken...listening to the radio today i lost count of how many times the commentator said thast he gave the ball away...simple passes as well
ball...will be sold now we have bridge
dunne....simply not a capt or a leader and has individually already cost us numerous points this season
Jo.....never going to hack it in the prem

all of them certainly not upto it.....thats half a team at least!

richards...playing poorly but the potential is there...but something is seriously amiss at present
zabaleta....jury is still very very much out on him and has been for a bit......against anyone with any pace he gets torn apart.

you could add various others today that have not played...TBH being one,

it has nothing to do with gutless but these players simply are not good enough.......when we lose 3 players like swp, robinho and ireland
