I have a confession to make..

Entire family of rags so had the rag kits put on me when I was little. When independent thought followed and the rebellion started, they were mortified and all these years later still don't like the fact I am blue to the bone. My dad is diehard red too so we've had our fair share of heated arguments. :)

Going back a few centuries. A very young ccr pestered his mam and dad to tell santa to get him a city shirt at xmas. Christmas morning, runs downstairs ,rips open the pressie and..................The red barsteward has left an Everton shirt.
Mam says "Well its blue isnt it "
"And stop crying your 34 years old "
Ok last bit not true.

I wore a rag shirt in 2005 all day, I went to their semi final in Cardiff v the Barcodes.

Did it for the craic.

I feel like i was violated at a young age. If you went into my kitchen now, to your left next to our fridge you would see a photo display of my younger days which happens to feature myself and my brother wearing rag shirts in about 6 photos. It makes me sick when i get food or drink.

Then one day, i decided to rebel against family, stopped wearing them and chose to be independant at the age of 10!

You kept the evidence?!

Used to wag school loads in the 80s and depending on who was on the bus with me, we'd get off at Platt Lane to proudly watch the Boys in Blue go through their paces, or stay on until the other side of town and get off near the Cliff (being careful to wipe our feet on the way out again), or on one strange day jump the train and end up at Anfield to watch training there!

Never bought The Pink in the close season in my life, but my mate wanders in one Sunday, a week before the season starts, and there's a freakin picture of me, autograph book in hand at the Cliff.... The SHAME of it!!

At least I was next to Gidman and he eventually ended up at Maine Road, but I know that's not the point. Needless to say that picture has never been shared around!

My other confession is that I went to primary school with Crearands son and I couldn't stand the pillock... just like his Dad in too many ways... he didn't endear himself to me either when a Blue mate of mine took him to the home Derby instead of me - (Phil...YOU DEFINITELY need to confess the reason for that!) - particularly when it was our 2-0 win with a cracking goal from Michael Robinson and a belter from my sister's mate Tony Henry.

Every single time I see any mention of Crearand, that still bugs the crap out of me

Pretty much the only family photo collection we have and it's contained in a glass casing. I'll use a felt tip pen and colour over it, might ease the pain a tad.
