Petrov is pretty much one dimentional - Fucking tony hibbert had him in his pocket i seem to remember. Its pretty much play a one two and leg it as fast as possible. He's had 2 in major injuries in the last few ears one with Athletico and with us both times doing his ACL or something similar. I think his time is pretty much done. He's 31 and probably only got one year left. 5 Million seems pretty good.

If this was a year ago before he left Blackeyed Rovers to join Spuds then I am sure Bentley joining city would be getting a different reaction. He was a good player under Hughes and Petrov will want to go, and should do, to get regular starts having just lost his second season due to injury

Still Hughes would get to create Blackburn MkII and stay in his comfort zone all at the same time.

Yeh, I remember when he signed Adebayor, Tevez, Barry, Given etc for Blackburn...

I've probably got the biggest newsnow addiction going, posted more in this forum from that site than most people have ever read, and I can tell you, it's not that simple. I wish this was someone I could dismiss out-of-hand, but, argghh, I can't.

He looked ok versus Barca.

every year they say, he won't be as fast after his injury, and every time he comes back strong as ever. what's worse, harry is a master at getting the most from players of that age.

petrov has been spurs' missing link for about 5 years. the prospect of us giving him to spurs when they look a threat, in return for someone who they can't wait to get rid of, and paying them for the pleasure, fills me with all sorts of scary emotions.
