If Mourinho comes..

I think thats even been overstated a bit. In 124 wins (in all comps) 21 of them were 1-0. One every 5.9 matches.

One in six of our wins (in all comps) this season have been 1-0.

According to someone on muen who was at forum with cooke and de jong last night, When the question rose about hughes future he said who would change there manager once a year it' stupid.......And said he would deffo be here next year

as opposed to Cook saying, "no, i will be sacking him in a fortnight..."

wtf was he expected to say?????

Mourinho comes, we'll have 2 interesting seasons, then he'll bugger off somewhere else and we'll end up searching for another manager, who'll have to build his own team etc etc.

If we're going to replace Hughes, we need a long-term appointment, who will build the club up, rather than create a short-term winning machine, imo.

If we are to change manager, Jose is the one I would look to take the hot seat. I appreciate some have misgivings, but I have always liked him and think he would take us on to the next level. When he arrived at chelsea he was seen by most as a breath of fresh air and he dared to take on bacon face, and as it happens won. I believe he could do the same for us .
Jose in!!!!

(but you knew that sdavros ;-).... )

get ready to see the worst football played by a city team for years. It will be worse than when Pearce was here

get ready to see the end of SWP, Stevie Ireland, Jonno and Elano.

get ready to see City players cheating and diving and having no respect for the ref.

I fucking hate Mourinho and don't want the grubby bastard anywhere near the COMS

Rag ;-p

Although your stats are probably right, it would be a gross overstatement to say that Mourinho's style of football is akin to that of Ferguson's or Wenger's. Realistically, although Mourinho's brand of football isn't necessarily as negative as someone like BFS, his teams are incredibly "efficient" (his word, not mine) - in the way they play. Chelsea under him were notorious for going 1 nil up, and then happily shutting up shop and playing on the break by using the pace of Robben, and later on, simply hoofing it up to Drogba, and waiting for one or two supporting players to catch up...

Maybe that's a little simplistic, but its much closer to the truth than the idea that Mourinho's teams play exciting attacking football...

Jose wouldnt come anyway he is shit scared a job like ours would ruin his perutation, and i am glad because he just isnt the sort of person we want at the club

I didn't say that it was.

We've had this discussion before, I think Mourinhos team was capable of playing exciting attacking football. But he wouldn't sacrifice a result for the purposes of doing that.

What we would rely on is that he would be able to build a squad good enough capable of playing brilliant, creative, attractive effective football week in week out. For all the millions that Roman spent I don't think Chelsea ever had that squad.
