Mourinho comes, we'll have 2 interesting seasons, then he'll bugger off somewhere else and we'll end up searching for another manager, who'll have to build his own team etc etc.

If we're going to replace Hughes, we need a long-term appointment, who will build the club up, rather than create a short-term winning machine, imo.

the point is though that who gives a fuck if he naffs off after 2 seasons as we will be in the top 4, that is our aim and the faster we get there the better.

once we are there and have to replace jose it is a piece of piss anyway as all managers will be happy to take the job.

That's true but then again Chelsea have hardly been brilliant since Mourinho left, we'll be left with a load of players that he signed. who like him, and who will probably be against whoever comes in after him, meaning we'll have to ship them out and practically bring in a whole new team. I'd prefer us to go down the route of a long-term manager, to gear the club up for long term, and sustainable success.

According to someone on muen who was at forum with cooke and de jong last night, When the question rose about hughes future he said who would change there manager once a year it' stupid.......And said he would deffo be here next year

as opposed to Cook saying, "no, i will be sacking him in a fortnight..."

So if Cook said "Mark Hughes will be our manager next season" you would interprete that to mean "Mark Hughes will not be our manager next season". Just so I am clear.

it is certainly a disaster i could live with.

They've changed a manager since he left, have a caretaker in charge , will need to change again in the summer.

They have a bunch of ageing mard arses, Drogba and Bollock spring to mind. Their players have terrible attitudes, Terry springs to mind.

When have they last brought through a youth player?

Your views are based on rumour but when the chairman of the club says something you dismiss it.

I think, from what I have read about the whole situation, that they wish to keep Hughes for now. I would be very surprised though, that if a manager of the calibre of Mourinho were to become available in the summer, the club's owners would not be interested in bringing him in.
