Why?
I stand with Cyprus basically haha.
But on a serious point, I'd rather not go over for football, with the stabbings etc in recent years with english fans
Why?
I had two nights in Istanbul on my way to Azerbaijan v Wales.I stand with Cyprus basically haha.

The last stabbings, whilst awful, happened 23 years ago. One of our fans got jumped in Gelsenkirchen four years ago. There is no guarantee of safety wherever you go, but the fact that a Turkish team won't be contesting the final means Istanbul is no less safe than any other major European city for this final.I stand with Cyprus basically haha.

Easy mistake as we've beat quite a lot in the last ten or so seasons. It's been mentioned and I've acknowledged it.
What ticket allocation do fans normally get for a CL final?
Hope you're not right obviously. Our Paris hotel for last year didn'tBooking for Istanbul early is OK but once they know who is in the final the hotels will just cancel the booking and refund the money then charge 4 or 5 times more for the same room.
I don't see why. If you've got enough points you earned them somewhere and not just on glamorous CL away tripsYou will find people with the points will go to the C/L final but never went to an away game through the competition as in Porto and others that went everywhere will miss out. I think city should look at who traveled all through the group stages knock out rounds etc and give them priority should we get to Istanbul
If you'd been in Porto for that weekend you'd understandWould most people not try and find the money for this kind of final? I wouldn’t have thought Porto is a usual example because we were still dealing with the pandemic. I watched in a Manchester pub and it was table service etc.
We are not Liverpool, and points is only one way of tickets going to supporters.Liverpool put 17.5k to their fans last season, according to a lad I know who is a S/T holder there. What makes you think City would take a bigger percentage for friends?
It was a fantastic few days for me until we saw the starting 11If you'd been in Porto for that weekend you'd understand
Porto sold out to the CL scheme on 11-12k points and loads went without tickets. That was with tests and quarantined flights and a complete ball ache. People were paying fortunes for neutral end tickets, which turned out to be in the Chelsea section. We only sold out Porto once the club offered free flights & that was only 6k tickets. There will be double the allocation available for the Final and almost any City member will be able to get a ticket
You’ll piss it. I believe there’s only around 20000 season ticket holders on the CL scheme, but that was a figure taken from last season but I can’t imagine that has gone up. I highly doubt all of those people would take up on a ticket too.The Stadium in Istanbul holds nearly 75,000.
Any idea on how many points will be needed? I am on the UEFA scheme and have just short of 12,000 points.
We will probably book a City Break for Istanbul. I have not done an away European match since Gornik in the Prata Stadium in 1970 unless you count the Celtic match where I went in the home end. I will never do that again!
Being honest I didn't know the starting 11 until half time.It was a fantastic few days for me until we saw the starting 11
The area down by the river on match day was an experience I'll never forget
Incredible few days by the riverfront. You wouldn't think it was bang in the middle of a global pandemic. The area down by the river on match day was an experience I'll never forget
