There's lots of speculation about mancini's future right throughout football, and amongst our fanbase. It's all everyone was talking about on Sunday at the game. He's the bookie's favourite to be sacked for several reasons: city have under performed all season and are hugely ambitious. He was clearly close to the sack last season as he sourced himself another job. His whole tenure has been conducted under a cloud of rumours of player unrest. After this season the question is going to be whether he has enough goodwill with the owners to be given another year.
There's bound to be speculation about his future amongst pundits and fans because of the unique situation he's in. It's no big deal. Rest assured this will track fever pitch if we go out the FA cup.
Luckily for him we've had a superb draw and have an outstanding chance to win it. Will this keep him his job? It might if we beat united to do it.
The main reason he is still short is because there was a bullshit twitter account that had him as getting sacked within the next day, loads fell for it
Every fucker was on at about 20/1 that then tumbled to about 2/1
Bookies have just left his price short as they have liabilities at huge odds.
I can certainly agree with that. You can pretty much tell from his press conferences that he doesn't either.nijinsky's fetlocks said:Mancini is a best-priced 5/6 on to still be in charge on the first day of next season,so the bookies reckon will be staying,if only marginally, but I would expect those odds to shorten if we do lift the FA cup.
The bottom line is that nobody really knows what stance our owners have at present - probably not even Mancini himself, and they are the ones who will decide his future, rather than the media,so it's all conjecture really.

What's interesting is how incredibly quiet the rumour mill seems to be. I get the impression that soriano and txiki keep their cards very close to their chest, which can only be a good thing.
I've got a funny feeling that we will beat united in the cup final, and maybe at their place, and he might save himself. He has a habit of pulling rabbits out the bag against that lot because he knows how to play against them.

No they aren't. I'd say most of the Mancini cynics are dyed-in-the-wool, long term city fans who want the best for the club. In fact I'd say most of them on the forum are pretty knowledgeable about the game.
