some of these comments are fucking ridiclious

Which fucking ones?
the ones who describe robinho as if they have been living with him and training with him. He is lacking confidence and it shows, he is a quality player as he shown last season. Fucking hell he has barely had a chance this season and when he has he has been carrying an injury or in games where he finds it difficult to make his mark on a game. Come on who expected him to do well vs Screech and a physical Everton side.
He just needs to be played in the correct manner for full effect.

He is semi-detached. It is a waste of time at the moment. We don't need passengers and unfortunately, that's what he is at present, whatever the reason. The situation needs to be sorted out one way or another.

lacking in confidence?
shove him in the reserves that,ll cure that he should bang goals in for fun there

First and foremost, he isn't fit and hasn't been all season..barring the first couple.

tactically speaking, It's the fact that we don't dominate the midfield away from home. All our attackers suffer from it, only Bellamy and Tevez can mask over this fact by running around a lot.

At home, we win the midfield battle the majority of the time because the opposition's mentality is different. This means our attackers are further upfield and the majority of Robbie's touches are around the penalty area. Away from home, he touches the ball just as much but he's on the halfway line and his tricks and feints are useless there...as the area is too crowded and the centre of midfield is too powerful for a guy like Robbie. IF we had midfielders who dominated the game, it would allow our attackers to play further forward without worrying about being too far from the centre of midfield. In turn this would allow Robinho to play to his own strengths and it would allow him time on the ball around the opponents penalty area. It's quite simple.

But anyway fuck all this logical debate. I'm off to have a wank over the fact De Jong clatters people and Bellamy doesn't stop running. Then i'm going to play Football Manager and scout the next boo-boy. Ageuro most probably...apparently the kids a bit special.

So what you're basically saying is that we should only play him at home games and halve his salary ? Or when we want to play him away from home, we need to buy more players that make him look better ?

I haven't got a clue whats wrong with him, but when a player as talented as him is fit and only makes the subs bench, then something is wrong.

You would hope that he's doing enough in training to convince Mancini that he wants to play for City.

He is a mercenary, 160k a week and he wants to be loved!!!! I was at everton, he ran onto the pitch and he ran off the pitch nothing in between. I like my city players to have come from th Mike Doyle school of commitment. Thats two words you wont see together in the same sentece very often
Robinho and commitment..

Lets get a team of Vass's and basque in thier workrate, if not thier ability to do anything but run. A lot.
Vass in a basque? The mind boggles!!!

The problem we've got at the moment with Robinho is that he doesn't fit into the 4-4-2 system that has been employed for most of the season and is currently being played. He isn't a striker so can't play as one of the two up front and he can't play as a wide midfield player in a 4-4-2 because theres too much defensive work to do and thats not what his game is all about. On the left of a front three in a 4-3-3/4-5-1 is where his best position is and he's not really had a chance to play in that position this season. The reason why this is his best position is because it means there should be able to just think about attacking and not have to think about tracking back because with three centre midfielders in the starting line up and two of them being defensive midfielders there should be enough cover for the defence however the problem we've got is a lot of fans still expect the two wide players of the front three to keep tracking back when this shouldn't be the case. Theres also the problem that he's been out of form when he's played this season although he's only started SIX leauge games this season so it's unfair to right him off especially when he had a good enough first season in the leauge.

As the poster ONO has said numerous times during the week, the problem we've got especially away from home is that as a team especially in the centre of the park we don't keep the ball well enough or have enough possession and without the ball Robinho and similar players will not have any impact and because he's not the type of player who's going to run around trying to win it back he appears to be lazy
