Partington!!! now your talking, theres inbred and theres inbred, the only way in and out is the 255 bus and long may it continue, God help humanity if it ever got a train station

That's complete and utter bullshit. You really shouldn't be spreading incorrect and vicious untruths about on the internet.

The number 247 goes through the shit hole aswell.
Holy Shit!!! not another escape route for the fuckers
Went to a house in Partington to view a dog that was for sale and i offered to buy the bloke some light bulbs, the whole house was lit by candles, he just looked at me and in a voice like Lurch said ''we like it this way'' friggin shithole of Gtr Manchester

Have been exiled to a place near the Boro these last 17 years - Jesus what a hole the Boro is ..................

I used to have the standard impression of Middlesbrough, when my only experiences were day trips to the football in the 80's.

Having spent a bit of time there recently, I'm quite fond of the place and the people now though.

There's some lovely little towns and villages on the outskirts as well.

Don't go to the game today, proceed straight to accident and emergency you must have had a bump to the head, Middlesbrough, Jebus

To be honest, I get the impression it's improved over the last 10/15 years.

That's relative though I suppose.

There was a spell, probably in the 90's where they didn't have a single pub or club left open and the last bus in or out was about 7pm.

Yarm and Eaglescliffe are nice.

I quite like Norton also.

Even Middlesbrough town centre, whilst not exactly Knightsbridge, is 100 times nicer than it was 20 years ago.

I live in banbury, thankfully my mum is from London and dad is from greater Manchester, so I deny having any banbury blood in me . I'm pretty sure it got voted number one most boring town in England a few months back in some news paper .

The locals here have the worst accent ever . It only tends to be the older ones that have it though as there is such a big over spill from London etc that its thankfully killin off that accent . It kind of sounds like 'get dayn tayn nay tu spend a paynd' as in 'go down town to spend a pound'. My missus is from Mansfield and she also isn't keen on the place.

I guess it's an ok'ish place with the best part being its right on the m40 and it apparently has one if the lowest unemployment rates in England, so has a fair bit of industry. It's just got the small town mentality and the people really fook me off .

So Banbury has made you cross

Ha.

I like Banbury, nice place to drink. Wouldn't live there though.

Alfreton and Bridgewater in Somerset are my candidates. Nothing to do with the accents but after spending time in both towns I almost felt the need to wear grey tracksuit bottoms and hang around outside McDonalds whilst simultaneously smoking, spitting and trying to look hard just to blend in.

Alfreton only just got a McDonald's.. Come to think of it, may have been South Normanton. Whatever, it caused a bit of a stir. Folk are still checking under the bread for hidden extras. The local tale goes the last time a McDonalds was open around there it had to be closed down because the staff would rub the "cobs" on their "nutsacks" enjoy yir meal youth! Not surprising the film dead mans shoes was set and filmed around them parts..

Haha very good ;-). I guess there can be worse places to live and the grass isn't always greener . It's just the locals with a long family history of banbury that crack me up . Many never venture out as they think banbury has everything they need . IMO, it has nothing to really be proud of . Shit nightlife, shit shoppin and the place has no real charactor to it . In my younger years I used to always be out of town at weekends . Like I say, it's location is good . . Hour and a half from London, less than an hour from brum and you can do Manchester in under two send a half hours on a good run . Even Oxford which is and 20 mins train drive can be a good night out .

Although born in St.Marys,Oxford Road,I am from Winsford. As a kid growing up in the 1950`s the pop.was approx. 6,000.We became an overspill town for Mancs and Scousers in the 1960/70`s and we`ve now grown to approx.40,000.
One thing over the years, that has become very apparent,is the number of Southerners we now have.
Still can`t rid of those fooking Scousers though !!

Used to travel all over the UK with my job a few years ago, had the misfortune to visit Haverfordwest in Wales, its been on the news and in the papers about people commiting suicide over the years I can understand why, its got to be the biggest shithole ever
