Just need to remember to the club you are not a supporter or even a fan, you are a customer. Simple as that.

My son's ran out last year in July (or it may be the year before) and it didn't auto-renew (I think it's possible to switch auto-renewal on/off somewhere in your account). Anyway, he renewed it a week later and it just showed as continued membership, but with the new rules I'd perhaps ring them and make sure.

No, my auto reneawal didn't work this year, I'd changed bank. I just logged in to buy the membership and it asked me if I wanted to renew my old membership.All my details , history and points remained the same.

This needs raising at the next city matters meeting.

There was an uproar over the increase in ST prices the other month, the increase we are seeing for matchday is a lot higher and without the support of being able to pay it off monthly.

They will be after STs next I reckon, wouldn't surprise me if they started offering cash reward to insentivise blues to give up their STs so the club can use the seat for matchday sales at a higher price.

£73 for 90 minutes of a PL game is mental.

Been the case for a good while unfortunately.

In a way they have tried to prise ST holders away from their seats with the Silver Season Ticket offering. 'Sorry about the year on year annual price rises, but here you are you can have these 14 less appealing games at a reduced rate'. Not telling them at the time once downgraded you couldn't reinstate Gold at a later date. Some of the underhanded ways they go about ticketing is an absolute disgrace.

Fantastic supporting such a great club on the pitch now, but it doesn't have that wider family feeling you once had when going to games. We ARE just customers now and it's as black and white as that. It hurts when you realise that love for the club is no longer reciprocated. Almost like a bird moving on because somebody with a Porsche has shown an interest in them.

I can't see why they wouldn't want to close the gap between matchday prices and STs. There's got to be a suit somewhere fuming at how well some STs work out on a match per match basis - less than £20 in some cases. I really hope they don't, and the fanbase would make a noise if they did, because it would draw attention to the whole issue. It's better that a few thousand loyal and local Blues get to see the match affordably than none at all, as that really would destroy the legacy fanbase.

I’m afraid whether some fans like it or not, we are a huge club now and therefore demand will outweigh supply for a considerable amount of time. Tickets to the highest category games have been £60-80 for at least 2 previous seasons.

Bolton’s ticket prices are 30 quid per match, same for many other clubs a lot further down the English pyramid than we’ve been for the last 10 years. Our prices reflect seeing arguably the best team in the world, play the best football in the world.

If you really want to watch the team play you will have to watch us in the less demanded games, which will understandably be cheaper.

Please also bear in mind that prices were liking going to raise 10~% as a result of inflation. I know this hasn’t been offset in many people’s wages, but it’s understandable to an extent

Exploiting blues

Some horrible cow near me has been exploiting fans. She wanted 1500 quid for a ticket for the final. The horrible rat is advertising future fixtures. Is there someone I can dob her in to so she can't exploit people? Thanks

As far as I'm aware they just transfer the ticket digitally. That cow in question was charging £2000 for a £160 ticket.
 
Are City putting back the 1000 seats they removed for the larger LED advertising boards?

Are City going to give priority to 1000 City fans who could be watching the European Champions and Treble winners this coming season over the LED advertising boards?

Sadly, I think we all know the answer to that question.

I think we've discussed this before mate. Having such a large number of season ticket holders means supply of the matchday tickets is so limited. They know that currently they can pretty much charge whatever they want and it'll sell out. Can't afford £80 a ticket? Tough! Somebody else can. Doesn't matter to them they only started coming last year.

Can't be many of those cheaper SSL3 season tickets available? The ones towards the front of that tier are now over £700 which is still getting towards £40 per game. Probably keep the ones towards the back cheap for PR reasons and nothing else.
 
When City mentioned this second match day ticket drop I suspected it was due to the price hike, last season I bought tickets right through the season in one go as I had missed the silver ticket bollox, however, if the Chelsea game is anything to go by, we are talking over a grand per adult and that’s being a fucking nomad and doesn’t count any away game or cup game.

when you throw into the mix the way our fans are treated, boiling hot days, a token amount of free water, any misdemeanour and you are dragged out, away fans can do what the fuck they want.

it‘s a club I am struggling to identify with.

The thing is, having a limited number of matchday tickets doesn’t prevent the club from jacking season ticket prices closer to what matchday tickets are on a game for game basis. ST prices are entirely at the club’s discretion - and they could apply the same arguments, ie best football in the world, loads of demand, if you can’t pay it someone else will…I would hope they won’t, and don’t think they’d get away with it because the number of us who would be affected is far greater than the matchday fan base, so the shouting would be much louder. But no one can be claimed for being cynical about what the club will look to monetise further next in these times, surely. We thought £70 for the rescheduled weekday Spuds fixture was bad last season, and now it turns out that was just foreplay for this season’s dry bumming.

Unfortunately they are doing exactly that.

I had a call recently with two staff members who deal with SC/ticket pricing after contacting the CM rep (who was great btw). I won't go into detail as to exactly what was discussed but at the end all they could say about my particular query was 'well you are only paying £** a game'!!
