Yeah me too. I thought he looked a bit jaded in that second half on Sunday and now with this he'll effectively have had 3 weeks rest going into the Arsenal game. Pep knows he needs his fitness managing and this is all part of it.

You would think not. But I think the guy's temperament is that, even if he's a bit injured and knows it, he believes he can turn the match, he wants to stay on. Vin was a bit the same. These guys are ridiculous competitors.

Good rest physically and mentally cos he's been at 100%,100% of the time since his return.

I think the plan was probably to try and get him to the international break and pull him. Unfortunately the Liverpool game was probably one too many for him. He’s pushed himself incredibly since his return so was always a chance he would feel a tinge or two.
Hopefully we’ve managed to catch it before anything gets too serious.
