I’m not convinced he has got over last season’s injury yet. He has looked a bit laboured ever since and seems to tire easily.

It could be that Laporte is worried that he might get injured again. It is obvious that he is still not 100% fit and that he doesn't want to get injured again, especially so soon after recovering from one serious injury.

Not specifically but its hoped he will be available for Sheff Utd.

Purely a guess but he did strain his hamstring shortly after his return after his knee ligament injury so I reckon he has another hamstring strain hopefully not as severe as his last one.
