I assume you've done the whole program, what results did you see? How easily have you maintained your fitness afterwards?

I haven't, my fella just started month 2

Ah ok, is he seeing good results?
Yes but he's got a couple of stone to get off He likes his beer. He struggled abit today because he's been doing recovery week. It hit him quite hard to be honest.

Bob, Phil, Rosler, eaststandlower.
Thanks for your encouragement. Its is amazing how many people on here are doing this now.
Will post results later. Also took before pictures hopefully will post before and after pictures.

Just realised you're a lady bob! Now all the picture requests make sense...

Going to start this next week. Quick question though. My calorie needs are around 1600. Does this mean I just eat 1600 or does it mean if I eat 1600 but then burn of 600 doing insanity and other stuff like walking to work etc I have to eat those 600 back?
If that makes sense.

That's my understanding (which to be fair could be wrong), though if 1600 is what you need to maintain your weight, and you want to lose some then, you should consume less obviously.

It's different for everyone and might need adjusting over time to suit your body. Some people eat all their exercise calories back and some don't. I would eat at least half of them back because you just cannot lose weight effectively long term by just eating 1600 calories and then burning off what would effectively mean you had consumed less than 1000. You need to fuel your body in the right way.

On My none exercise days I have 1200 calories a day. Exercise days I have about 1500/1600

Just done the pure cardio video, not as bad as I thought, but I think that's because I thought it would be horrible.

Definitely improving though, I made it all the way through the warmup without stopping! (though not at their intensity level)

Help!
My internet speed is shit. At the rate i'm dl'ing it's going to be the end of September before all the files are there!
Pretty please, with sugar on top could someone help a fatty and stick the files on disc and post them to me? The DL is just short of 8gb so it should fit onto two dvdrs. I will compenate with cash and stickers for costs/postage/time of course.

Thankyou

You don't have to start on a monday, I started on a friday, because I wanted my rest day to be thursdays...

I wouldn't try and play football for an hour, and do this, one or the other will be plenty

Started it today.
Did 2hrs at Goals last night so didn't start yesterday.

Did the "Fit Test" and did ok. Have cut out all the crisps, biscuits and alcohol at least for 2 weeks also. Sticking to doing one episode a day like on the schedule. Will be off it in Madrid but oh well.

Did the fitness test yesterday

switch kicks 94
power jacks 46
knees 80
jumps 20
globes jumps 11
suicides 17
push up jacks 38
low plank oblique 54

legs have been like jelly all day and I can now no longer walk down stairs.

Bring on plyometric cardio circuit tonight!

The mrs is on it as well, deffo make the diet at lot easier if you're both on it.

Edit,

Also, has anyones neighbours complained yet? I'm pretty sure it sounded like we had a heard of stampeding buffalo in our front room last night.
Might go and off load some cake on the neighbours later (stop complaints and gets rid of cake)

Unlike a lot of you trying to shed the weight i'm eating more than the recommended diet and trying to gain weight. Last October i was 9st 8... and with a controlled diet of Monday to Friday being diet strict days using Michi's Ladder which I used to compose my breakfast lunch and dinner. obviously i had the Mass Builder protein shakes included in between, the supplement I was taking recommended 3 shakes a day which was for me, one with breakfast, one before training and a pre-bed shake... Saturdays and Sundays were my days off where i would pig out and hit the town... Who likes All work no play right?

Shakes were not the only supplements I took, I grabbed some Amino acids, and Creatine capsules aswell... I trained 4 times a week, working my body in pairs... generally Chest/Back, Arms/Shoulders, Legs/Abs and the 4th day was Cardio... rinse and repeat! I'd generally do Legs and abs then have a day rest in between, if you've ever been to the gym and done heavy deadlifts and squats you'd know why!

but to this date i'm standing weighing in now at just short of 13st. around 12st 8-11 scales depending... the gyms scales say 12st 10 but my home ones say 12st 8...

All from eating right and training... i think my body fat index is around 7% when the average is 15-17%

my biggest advice is to not get downheartened when you have gains rather than losses... you need to remember that when burning off the fat you will lose weight, but at the same time gain muscle mass... which is heavier than fat... you may not shift the weight you wish to but you'll look bigger and leaner!
