You could probably do it barefooted if you didn't have a good pair of trainers as well.

I wouldn't recommend it, landing from a lot of jumping you need support for ankles, ie good grip from trainers.
so humans could never run and jump all day everyday before shoes were invented? Well this is news....

Yes but they can do it better in trainers, that's why they were invented.

I still dont think jumps would cause issues in this workout, whenever I've done plyometric exercises in strength and conditioning classes they prefer us to do them barefoot. As long as you dont land heavy footed and smash into the floor itll be fine

Must be a case of what works best for the individual then. I tried it barefoot and felt I was going to go over on my ankle every time I landed. I do have weak ankles from constantly spraining them when I was younger.

Just eat a banana an hour before training and have a strong espresso half hour later.

It will be far more beneficial to your physique and wallet.

Completed the first month this morning.

I've gained 4kg, though. :(
What have you been eating??

Sounds like the tried and tested Seefood diet......

I'm a strict vegetarian and my calorie intake never exceeds 2400 calories. But I should add that I was only 65kg - quite light for someone who stands at 6 ft 1 - before I began Insanity.

Plenty of room for more grub and size the Doc!

What are your main protein sources out of curiosity?

Oatmeal
Walnuts
Whey, Soya or Spiru-tein powder for a post-workout shake
Quorn
Quinoa
Eggs

Cheers mate - pulses, hemp and cottage cheese/quark would also be useful for you.

Almonds are also king IMO.

Just finished my fitness test, can't walk and on the verge of chucking my guts up!

Oh dear!

If you are starting from scratch, after not exercising for a long time, DO NOT try and keep up with the video.

It will hurt and likely put you off from continuing.

These people do this on a likely daily basis and are very fit. They wouldn't be in a video for a multi-million pound franchise otherwise!!!

Bit of a blow to the ego, but you need to just go easier initially. Follow the exercises by all means, but if an exercise is for say 30 seconds, aim for 15, giving yourself a bit of breathing space. As your legs and lungs get stronger, you will know to carry on to 20, then 25, etc.

Don't let your pride and impatience get in the way.

This is good advice. The people on the video have already been doing it for a while.

I am on day 15 and loving it. Already can see myself taking shape. Also I seem to love doing the pure cardio one, which everyone else seems to hate.

I'm the same, pure cardio is much easier than the other 2.

I'm doing cardio recovery(week 1) today, when do most people notice a physical change?
I've decided to focus on fitness and how my clothes fit as an indicator rather than obsess about weight loss.
Just finished recovery, jeez I thought it was gonna be easy,I preferred the cardio workouts.

i'm thinking of starting this toinight, had to knock the gym on the head about a year ago due to new baby and work commitments so this sounds perfect for me.

can anyone PM me a decent link to download to the ipad?

also what type of diet is involved?

I eat healthy as it is (porridge for breakfast, fruit as snacks and a decent tea etc) but I also like a dink on a Saturday night (never drink in the week).

can I still have a beer on this?

cheers

Got back on this today after falling off the wagon for a few weeks.

When I say falling off the wagon, I mean jumping off it, setting it on fire and then pushing it off a cliff to crash in a fireball into the sea.

Very hard work, but Holiday is creeping up sooner than I would like, so will stick to it and check in on this thread with my progress.

Good on you mate for picking it up again, I fell as well.

Told myself that I deserved a few days of after working so hard and ever since I´ve found it hard to start again. Thanks to your post I got motivated again and did a workout yesterday, hopefully I can keep it up.
Did you start all over again or did you pick up where you left of?
