Seems I'm not alone in thinking that, but its not a "stamp" clearly, that is something done deliberately with force.

They do because there are refs who think contact = penalty. Hence why players like Dele Alli exist and that cheat tonight who would rather play for a penalty than show some talent and score a goal.
