Bored to tears with it already and another international break on the horizon soon. They should reduce the amount and shift the rest of them to pre-season can't stand the disruption of the season.
International games wouldn't be so insufferable if we had something decent to watch, and Southgate's idea of football is not what I would call decent.
Like many of us I can be an armchair know-all at times, bellowing foul-mouthed tirades at the TV whenever there is a party political broadcast on. I'm there in my comfy seat, championing the proles, inciting rebellions and abusing the fat-cat multi millionaire Tories for the way they are running this country. And it's the same with me for football: no matter the game, no matter the significance of the result, no matter who's playing, I ALWAYS know more than the manager (any manager) does and, nose pressed against the TV screen, I'm no shrinking violet when it comes to letting everyone know that I could do a better job than that wanker in the dugout.
In reality I couldn't do their jobs anymore than I could walk the Atlantic Ocean. Fuck me, at my age I'd experience extreme difficulty in placing a postage stamp on an envelope.
But when I see what Southgate is doing I genuinely believe I could do a better job than him. I sincerely feel that given the chance I could get a better performance from the players he has at his disposal than he does.
And I don't think I'm alone in this. I would imagine there are a quite few on here who could make a better fist of it than Southgate, and that is the tragedy of the whole England set-up - amateurs who could probably do the job far better than the professionals.
