There seemed to be a distinct lack of communication between Joe and the defenders, more's the pity. All very nervy and indecisive at the back. Then with the free kick, the wall was surely placed to protect his right side, so you'd expect him to get down to his left. Not sure whether he was stood centrally or to the left. Maybe he should have been further across? This isn't a 'let's all pick on Joe' session, but these are things that can be worked on. As for the headed clearance that led to the fourth goal, he just looked like he'd run out too far and got right under the ball. Led to one of the most stunning goals, though. Give Zlatan the Ballon d'Or just for that!

no, but my point is there's been a glaring error in his game(bar the odd great save in that area) that hasn't been resolved, and it's worrying because you'd have hoped at a top club it would have been fixed.

We're going back to the likes of Villa away over 18 months ago as examples of him making mistakes on his left hand side, and he's still making them.

It's frustrating because he is top class but it's becoming an obvious area and top strikers will start exploiting it.
