Intimidating grounds

Stoke was horrendous. Myself and my 10 yr old son got a brick thrown at us on the way back to the car .
The old Boothen End was no place for the faint hearted.
Some have also mentioned Leeds in he 70s and 80s - it was just as bad in the 60s, when we had the open end - now their Kop.
Forest fans at that time were rockers, compared to most firms being mods.
Stood in the Roker End at Sunderland very early pre match in the late 60s chatting to some Blues, when a gang of their fans walked over and asked if we knew Les Tate. We said no and asked why. One lad pulled out a knife and said they were after him after their last match at Maine Road. They obviously didn't know him by sight, as he was stood next to me!

Been to them all..... Anfield, Goodison, the Swamp, Millwall, Brum, Wolves, West Ham, Leeds, Boro, Chelsea, Pompey etc etc etc
Only one ground I have visited once and said I would never go again and I never did....
Newcastle. Went in 83/84 and they beat us 5-0. Fuck knows what they would have done if we had drawn! It was an all ticket game and they had boys in our end offering us out as the game started!
Before, during and after the game the fuckers were relentless. Not late teens / early 20's boys but blokes in their late 30's / 40's..... Very nasty day

My worst experiences were Cardiff in the cup god only knows what could have happened if Curly Wurly had scored.
The 4-1 cup game at Forest early seventies I was 16 and got kicked to fuck in that side paddock in the ground twice
Worst of the lot was Cup again Liverpool mid 70s 0-0 we took about 15k took liberties all Saturday pre game then paid for it after, both us and Millwall got kicked to fuck trying to get back to and into Lime St by that fukin narrow ginnel entrance (millwall knocked Everton out 0-1) biggest mob I’ve ever seen in Their town centre all joined together.
Wednesday replay 2-0 win and that was the best ever show by City, almost felt sorrow for the cnuts after the game

Millwall for me. Just something about the whole area as well. Really intimidating atmosphere from the walk to the ground and whilst inside.

Not so much the ground but the fans! I went to watch Rochdale a few seasons back and the queue for the home end was rather long and they were just about to kick off so I decided to go in the away 'side'. They were playing Argyle. Now my best mate at college was an Argyle fan and finished his days as a VP of the club but some of the guys in the crowd were summat else!
