IPTV

After struggling to get my old Firestick working (it was stuck on the profile page, finally resolved by working out that it had decided that the wife's profile was the account holder :( ), I've factory re-set it, I'd forgotten just how slow it is.

With the new season starting early with the CWC would I be best looking at (say) a Z11 Pro as recommended elsewhere on here or does it not offer anything over my PC with perhaps Opera?

I've already got Surfshark so what would I need in either case?

If your old firestick is not 4KHD then I suggest you buy the new one.

It is a 6 year old HD one as it happens. Are the 4K ones much faster? What would it give me over the PC given that both will be plugged into the same monitor?
Well first of all most programs are now HD so the old one would lose pixels to operate in SD, then your TV set would guess the missing pixels to get HD.

I found everything was faster especially if I use the power connection to mains rather than TV USB.

No experience with the z10 but if it has a spare USB port to record from it may be worth looking at.

We see a lot of ''i need a new provider'' requests in here. UNfortunately my provider will not let me pass on their deets unless it's to someone i know personally.

Yeah, I asked my guy if he was interested but he said not in a million years, unless he’s one person away from knowing them personally.

It’s probably a bit of a Catch 22 if you don’t know anyone personally. The sort of guy happy to do business with complete strangers, probably isn’t the sort of person you want to be doing business with.

I guess if you like a drink, it won’t take you long in most pubs to find a local guy, if you ask around.

Yup. I quite stupidly passed on somebody's details on here a couple of years ago and it turned out the **** was working on behalf of Virgin!

Be careful guys

Same here.
You finally find a great provider, and would love to share it on here.
The trouble is, you really don't know most people, and risk losing your own great service.
My last one disappeared overnight, just after i had renewed (genuine lad, but got busted). So there is also the risk of being slated if the same happens after you recommend a provider!

What happens is , bloke in the pub buys a packages of say 50 subs , sells them on at £50 a go , and when they’re all gone instead of buying 50 more ,he just cancels your subscription and sells it again .
I heard it’s best to google top ten iptv providers , and take your pic .

Yeah because that would be flying under the radar wouldn't it.
I don't suppose any of the big global corporations would even think of googling 'top ten iptv providers' thats ripping off my company for billions every year.

That's fucking terrible, hope you reported that person to Ric ? We don't need a rat like that on here

That doesn’t sound like a very good long term business plan.

You popping in the Royal Oak later Jimmy? Apparently there’s 50 guys in there all asking about you.

You haven’t googled it have you

Z2U.com can be a decent website for buying IPTV subs from. Think it's Chinese in origin but it's a marketplace that sells all sorts of stuff.

As with anything it carries an element of risk so filter based on seller ratings, reviews etc. There are sellers on there with thousands of reviews and verified purchases so logic tells you they're going to be a better bet than a seller who joined last week and has 10 reviews.

You can buy subs for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months so what I've done in the past is try different ones for a month at a time for a few quid and if they are reliable, extended from there. Most sellers in my experience are responsive on the chat function if you have any issues.

For any corporate bod's lurking on here. Lower your prices, show the 3pm's. Give us access for all matches and you might find this thread of no use.
I have all the legit packages available in this country. I can afford it. But some cannot.
Yet i still need other means to follow my club properly.

Napster shown the way. They went legit and changed the way we listened to music. Peer sharing sites went away.
Saying that, i've noticed music sites gradually increasing prices again. Will you ever learn?
