Ireland Leaving - Absolute Disaster

what are you hearing tolmie ?

you were vocal about mourinho before ?

do you think the club will have 2 transfer lists of ins/outs depending on who the manager is... or does it depend on if we finish 4th ?

also would ireland actually put in a request ?

Re: Ireland Leaving - Absolutely Disaster

Been saying for weeks now that he's being forced out. Must be hard for him when Zabaleta is picked ahead of him as a midfielder. We're making a big mistake.

Never been given a good run in the team this season. People say he has had chances but what is the most consecutive games he has started? And he hasn't been half as bad as he's made out to have been.

I'll be absolutely furious if he is allowed to leave. He is twice the player Barry is.

Mancini has came in and had little time to look over the squad and see what he likes and doesn't like but it's obvious over time he's of the belief that Ireland isn't good enough to be starting at the moment. Mancini's return of 24 points from 12 leauge games is an excellent return considering he took over a team that had previously won 2 out of 11 in the leauge

The problem we've got with Ireland is he doesn't influence games enough if he plays in the middle of a 4-4-2 and while his best position is quite clearly in an attacking role of a 4-3-3/4-5-1 this isn't really a formation favoured by Mancini although to Mancini's credit he has tried this formation with Ireland in the position we all think he's best in and while he's had a few decent moments in general he was poor, can we afford to keep playing him hoping he comes into some kind of form or is Mancini right in thinking that maybe the game passes him by especially away from home where we need to be more solid hence the likes of Vieira, Zabaleta playing in the centre recently?

I'd be gutted if Ireland left because on his day he can have a positive impact on the team that very few people can but if Mancini doesn't think he's good enough for where we want to be then so be it, we've done alright without Ireland recently so i'm sure we'll be fine without him although the preference is of course for him to stay

I will be gutted if/when we sell him. What is he? 22? 23? We should be nurturing him into a world class talent, not gift-wrapping him for one of our closest rivals, and God forbid... possibly the scum, to take off us. It would go against everything we should be trying to achieve. All they ever harp on about is how The Academy is at the centre of everyones thoughts for the future and that they understand how important it is to have players that understand the club, and can relate with the fans... it would be really hard to take, and hard to trust the board/Garry Cook in the future, should we sell Stevie this summer. Their actions would not be consistent with their speech.

With respect you don't know what you're talking about mate.

The facts are above.

Think he's offski if things don't change, and very quickly.

Don't see United, only in that we would refuse to sell him to them.

Liverpool would be a decent option in terms of potential swaps.

But all the indicators are it would be Arsenal.

Only because they will lose Fabregas, and Ireland still gets to see Champs League.

Maybe we should make it a condition of any sale, Arsenal also have to take back Kolo?

Will be sad to see the back of him, and, under another manager, a Jose/Wenger, would no doubt blossom again.

But would I take Ireland over the boy Sneijder at Inter, not on your nelly.

Rather see SWP go.

deal, we'll give them stevie and kolo, they give us cesc. well even throw in a few quid for the sweetener. Sneijder is mustard, he has that killer pass we need in the middle of the park to spark our attacking play.

We've been picking up points though, with Zab in the midfield.

People used to have ago at Robinho in away matches but to be honest even though I love Ireland I used to think he disappeared as well in away matches and the big games he just seems to watch the game pass him by!!!

You can all fuck off with your "he hasn't taken his chance" and "a change will do him good" bollocks quite honestly.

He's one of our prize assets and it would be a tragedy to lose him.

I am telling you all here and now that he will be a superstar when he moves on.

But don't worry, we;ll have our journeymen like Vieira and Zableta.

im going to scweem and scweem until i make myself sick ;)

Dave, how many managers has he played under?

Are they all wrong?
