Ireland speaks out [Merged]

The thing about Ireland leaving that gets me is that, according to him, it is everybody's fault except his. He goes on about how great he has been.....well, I have got news for you Stephen. For the whole of last season your performances were abysmal...we're not talking about just a few games here. And yet this fact does not seem to have registered with Ireland. Of course, he was great the year before and I, like many City fans, felt hugely let down and very disappointed that he went downhill so fast. I wish him well at Villa but he can't just deny the very poor performances of last season which created this whole situation.

Would You Boo Ireland?

Quite honestly, if anything he deserves it. The way us fans treated him like God with his very own banner and chants. I know it's not nice to do it to an ex player, but this twat has treated the club and the fans with total disregard and disrespect. So fucking what if you didn't get a game time, your performances when you did play didn't warrant it. The guy is a selfish, arrogant tosser and will never be remembered by me for anything good he did. He just went to another club and has since just bashed us and talked about our club as if it were nothing but a piece of shit on his shoe. I'm undecided whether I would vent my anger and frustration by booing him when we play villa. Thoughts bluemooners?

i think he has a point, bellers and stevie to a degree will be sorely missed.

In so much as we have to find some new idiots in the squad to canonise for no apparent reason.

if bellamy was so poor a player why did we not let spurs sign him? bobby is a mard arse and is scared of bellers and his importance to city. had spurs got him he'd have done us and done us proper, bob did'nt dare.

Ireland isnt the first player to come out and say these things about RM...tevez, bellay and ned all have said the same thing. Now that is worrying as it leads me to believe that it is actaully true and that RM doesnt have any type of relationship with players. Compare this to ferguson, wenger, etc who old players, ex players etc have said that they have had great working relatinships with players...not to mention redknapp.

I dont blame Ireland one bit for coming out and saying what he has, its clearly the truth as others have said it as well

RM needs to sort this out if we are going to build a team. Its not suprising that some of the players at times dont look like they want to fully play for him...even tevez whose attitude on the pitch is unquestionable seems to have a very frosty relationship with RM and that is even more worrying, cause if players feel this way, offers from other clubs could tempt them

Ireland is clearly gutted about leaving city and i dont blame him at all

If these commetns had been directed about MH a year ago this board would have been full of people demanding change.

I also feel on a footbaling basis that RM has made a hyuge mistake in letting ireland go. We now lack real creativity in central positions.

NO person is bigger than the club...not even the manager and maybe RM needs to "sort his head out" and start to develop relationships with the players for the sake of the club/team. He needs to change the way he does things as well for the sake of the club

Ding ing ding - we have a winner
Yes we do. It's you!

Ireland has said stuf in the press (that every fucker on here slates - but it's direct quotes so I can see why the sheep follow). Did you slag him when he was our best player? Did you slag him at OT two years ago? Did you slag him when he made countless runs into the box after winning the ball in our own penalty area? No, you didn't.
No and if he was still half decent he wouldn't have been sd. I also wouldn't slag him if he had kept his pikey gob shut.

Re: Would You Boo Ireland?

Scot scot scot.......No No No!!!!

The guy didn't say anything that wasn't expected and as someone else said "it was one minute of speaking without saying anything".

He will get a big warm welcome from the educated ranks.
