If anyone at City was up their own arse it was Stevie, no doubt he had talent, but from the moment Elano went he was lost, so its another numpty caused damage story for two reasons.
Firstly for getting rid of the only playmaker at the club, an if that was not bad enough then filling Stevies head with the nonsenseical idea that he could fill the gap left an play the creative role.
He needed a creative midfield partner to spark off, and always will or what you get is as seen the latter half of last season.......he simply disapears.
Stevie has the talent for sure, but the brain side of things in his case is reactive, not a pop at him, thats just the kind of player he is, he can bring a lot to any team provided he is played in the right way........with the right type of player along side.
