Ireland speaks out [Merged]

Re: "I was neither happy or sad if we lost."

Bitter Red twat he's nowt else, I hope his career rots and fades away, quite like his hair line. I can just see him being carried by Young and Petrov like Dunne did with Collins and Warnock and the press making him out to be a superstar. Now we know why he didn't follow Ginger bollocks in the Derby.

Oh well, maybe he'll get his dream move to the Rags in about 2 years time when they can only make £1,000,000 signings and he's failed at Veellaaaa.

Ireland is Superman? Pft, 100 Million sperm and that tosser was the result.

Re: "I was neither happy or sad if we lost."

Frankly, I think everyone's missing the point.

He obviously does give a toss, it's just that being marginalised and treated appallingly by Mancini has left him pretty indifferent to the whole set-up.

And quite frankly, I can see his point of view. It matters not whether he's considered surplus to requirements, there's still a way of treating people. I'm gutted that he's gone, because at the moment this City side is acheingly dull to watch, but I'm more gutted at the way he's been treated.

Re: "I was neither happy or sad if we lost."

All the best to Ireland, but he certainly got his chance, he never had a great match since Mancini took over. Not entirely Mancini fault is it Ireland?

If he had REALLY cared he wouldnt have said some of the things he did. I would rather watch an achingly dull 1-0 win than an exciting 3-3 draw... Burnley anyone!!!! It is clear that to footballers what they do is just a job to them and that none of them really care about the club they are at merely the things it gets them

Re: "I was neither happy or sad if we lost."

He says he doesn't think he was given a fair crack of the whip by Mancini. He was already struggling to get in under Hughes' last few months. The truth is that by the time Mancini came in Ireland's form was already so far below what it'd been the season before there really was no justification for keeping him in the side.
If I'd have been a city player and I was being kept from having my chance in the side by Ireland playing as he was last season I'd have been well pissed off. As would Ireland if he was being kept out by someone else who was playing so far below their best. So he's got no complaints as far as I'm concerned.

No, it's you who is clearly missing the point.

Mancini tried him in his so called 'favoured position' last season. He looked to many of us as if he wasn't really trying. He came off the bench against scum & seemed as if he wasn't trying, allowing an old geezer who'd played 90 mins to run away & score. Now he says he wasn't arsed whether we won or lost when he wasn't playng. It doesn't need Sherlock Holmes to figure out that he wasn't trying does it?

Why people find that acceptable I just don't know.

Re: "I was neither happy or sad if we lost."

Aww don't be mean to Stevie, he's probably still mourning the loss of his grandmothers! Either that or he's still upset about reading mean comments on this website two years ago about wanting to drive him up to Sunderland because of how gash he is. But then Robinho made him look good and all was good because Stevie was 'good' and it had nothing to do with Robinho making him look the part. I'm sure a player with talent will enjoy the challenge of trying to get into the squad, unlike a player who is gash but is believing the hype of a six month stint they enjoyed. And let's be honest, Stevie knows all about how our youth act... after all, they'll be looking up to players like Ireland who came from our youth setup and copying them. What with the fish tanks, pink rims, 'daddy dick' Bebo pages, dressing like 50 Cent etc.

So lads, please lay off Stevie Ireland or he'll go awol again and say another member of his family has died and how he read mean comments on the internet and then got bullied and it all got too much for ickle Stevie the 50 Cent wannabe. After all, it's always everyone else's fault. He's a really talented footballer you know? It was the bullies fault he quit Ireland, si? It's nothing to do with him being an absolute nut who needs help.

I'm glad I don't agree with you.

Happy he is gone.

More happy we have Mancini.

Ecstatic we are boringly dull to watch as it means we aren't having thrilling 3-3 draws.

Ps - he was treated fine and get over it.

-- Fri Aug 20, 2010 6:37 pm --

Because some people are foolish and blinkered to their blind loyalty to "Stevie". Luckily the thick git has managed to just alienate many of those that had supported him these past few weeks.

Is it only a few of us can remember that Hughes wasn't picking either!
