Most knowledgeable football fans including non City supporters know that Ireland is a fantastic player with an eye for a pass. If thats the case surely we have our creative midfield player already in our squad. Just play him in the right position give him some love and he'll do the business. Its not rocket science is it ? .

huge mistake to let him go
ireland has the talent ot be one of the best......in interviews with various city players when asked who is the most skilful the all say ireland
he needs to adjust his game slightly to suit mancinis prefered style of play but ireland can still be a very important player for us.......especially with all the euro games we will have ontop of the prem games and normal cup games.
we have noone with any creativity in the central areas son keeping this lad is essential.
if we let him go we will regret it,..........

Quite like the bloke, but if Mancini isn't going to play him then he should leave and get himself first team football with someone else.
It's all simple really, there is no room for sentiment if you want to win things. The Manager works with the players every day and either see's a problem or does not rate Ireland. Stevie has had 1 good season and has been very well rewarded for that.
