So what is the predicted outcome?

Am I right to read the polls as a Fianna Fáil led coalition with Fine Gael - meaning a change of Taoiseach?

Quite possible.
I would say that they would prefer a coalition without Fine Gael if the numbers added up with some of the smaller left parties and the greens.

They won’t go into coalition with Sinn Fein. Whether Fine Gael would or not is debatable. Hard to see it working though.

Nah, they won't go into coalition. C+S more likely and a lot more infighting than the last one with the WA agreed and passed.

As well mate - but as we were talking about the ROI elections....

Anyway - no offence intended.

Absolutely none taken...was a joke, i actually thought it was Aguero93 who had posted it.....there are people up here who very love to point out NORTHERN ireland :-)....

Indeed - that was what was in my mind - but my finger went into auto-type mode

I think that would be the same as currently - but with roles reversed?

Looks like it, unless the smaller left wing parties pull off a major shock without taking seats off SF in the process.

Fun Fact: the most northerly point of the Republic of Ireland is further north than any part of Northern Ireland.

Muff?

Actually its Malin Head...but always good to get a good Muff joke in there :-)

Muff Liquor... ;-)

If the numbers don’t add up, and it’s likely they won’t, then that’s what we’ll get.
It’s the reason the Shinners are riding high in the polls, but I’m not convinced that’ll translate into seats on the day.
