Is 9 Trophies In 10 Years A Good Return Under Sheikh Mansour’s Ownership?

As a bloke in my 40's,growing up,i never thought we'd win anything of any significance ever again.

This past 10 years has been fucking amazing, genuinely the stuff of dreams.

It's not just the throphies though, look at the facilities, look at the youth ,and just look at the future
Can't really of asked for anymore, about 12 years ago I was sat on the staff bus with a mate from work who asked me do you think you'll ever win the premier league my reply was i couldn't ever see it, we we're so far behind.
But just look at us now

It is a good return but retaining the league and ideally winning the CL or FA Cup double/treble would really cement our place and this sides place in the history of English football. 100 points was unbelievable and Silva, Aguero and Kompany will love what they have won so far but the CL and successfully retaining the league really adds what is required these days to be truly honoured (unless you are Liverpool).

Charity Shield? Do me a fucking favour. What next - we count winning the div 3 play offs? The charity shield counts for the square root of fuck all. Never has done, never will do. We've won it 5 times. The "English Professionals X1" have won it 4 times. The "English Amateur X1" have won it twice. And the "English FA Canadian Touring X1" were runners up once.

Our return isn't what I'd have hoped for after Mancini led us to the promised land in 2011 and 2012. He gave us gold. We gave him Scott Sinclair and Jack Rodwell.

Look mate, this isn’t a let’s have an argument and swear thread. It’s an easy going discussing on whether 9 trophies is a good return in 10 years.

But if you want to discuss the Charity Shield, then fair enough

It’s fair to say the Charity Sheild isn’t a trophy as such. It’s flat for starters. It’s won on the day, and after winning one match. However, go on any clubs website and it is listed on their honours board, and makes up a % of their trophy wins and success.

Go on to United’s OS trophy room website :-( and they have won the Charity Sheild *21 times*. Minus that off their trophy haul and it takes away a sizeable amount of trophies they have won. (Sorry, Ric) https://www.manutd.com/en/History/Trophy-Room/Community-Shield The same with Liverpool, etc.

It’s safe to say most supporters from every club don’t think the Charity Sheild is a trophy. But regardless of what supporters think, the Charity Sheild is classed as a trophy by the clubs, and as such, is seen as a valid trophy by the clubs.(Do me a fucking favour clubs)
