It happens too frequently, and only to certain teams for it to be a coincidence.

I worked in Denmark for 12 years, random enough for you?
Just pointing out some obvious general connections, not stating facts or assumptions, smart arse.
strongbowholic said:Mancini and the staff are being investigated? Good. Needs to be stamped out. Do you think they are taking bungs or is it to do with betting again? You know what these fucking triads are like.CBlue said:This is already being investigated - by FIFA. Make of that what you will. There are a few journalists/investigative reporters who are trying to get to the bottom of it - without success & without help from the governing bodies too. There is a lot of evidence of football corruption - you just need to look a little harder.strongbowholic said:If someone is suggesting the players are in on it, then surely the manager and the coaching staff are complicit too?
This needs investigating pretty damn fucking sharpish.

If not, I blame Thatcher.

I mean its hardly the days when the milkman played for Manchester City is it and a bung was a nice little cash job
Does a jockey earn £250'000 a week?mancity1 said:BoyBlue_1985 said:Has anyone asked the relevant question of why a footballer making £8 million a year would need a bung??

Probably the best jockey Australia has produced over the past 25 years has admitted recently to betting on a rival horse in a race that he was riding in 2010.
This jockey is extremely wealthy.
A jockey can not place bets on a horse full stop and he could be suspended for a long time.
He may in fact retire from racing even though he could ride at the top level for a few years to come.
Why do sportsmen do things that others deem corrupt?
For a whole range of reasons.
They have been doing it since competitions started and will be doing it until competitions end.
Corruption is being investigated. I've no idea if anyone from City are involved. I think there could have been players involved in the past - it would be very naive not to think so.strongbowholic said:Mancini and the staff are being investigated? Good. Needs to be stamped out. Well thats just stupid really. I know footballers are not that clever but if someone offered them £200,000 when they risk losing £40 million over 10 years its hardly worth doing.mancity1 said:BoyBlue_1985 said:Has anyone asked the relevant question of why a footballer making £8 million a year would need a bung??
