Has anyone asked the relevant question of why a footballer making £8 million a year would need a bung??
I mean its hardly the days when the milkman played for Manchester City is it and a bung was a nice little cash job

Probably the best jockey Australia has produced over the past 25 years has admitted recently to betting on a rival horse in a race that he was riding in 2010.

This jockey is extremely wealthy.

A jockey can not place bets on a horse full stop and he could be suspended for a long time.

He may in fact retire from racing even though he could ride at the top level for a few years to come.

Why do sportsmen do things that others deem corrupt?

For a whole range of reasons.

They have been doing it since competitions started and will be doing it until competitions end.
Well thats just stupid really. I know footballers are not that clever but if someone offered them £200,000 when they risk losing £40 million over 10 years its hardly worth doing.
These footballers that admit they have gambling addictions, im sure they do that as a gangster has asked for a favour for the debt and the player whats to get himself in the public eye

Mancini and the staff are being investigated? Good. Needs to be stamped out. Do you think they are taking bungs or is it to do with betting again? You know what these fucking triads are like.
Corruption is being investigated. I've no idea if anyone from City are involved. I think there could have been players involved in the past - it would be very naive not to think so.

So what if the NWO are in on it?

For a moment, I though you meant the NWA. Although saying that, the way this thread has gone these last few pages, it wouldn't surprise me to hear suggestion that they were in on it.

Does a jockey earn £250'000 a week?

Fallon did the week he rode Ballinger Ridge.
I still don't get just how a financial conspiracy would have the world's richest club losing out.
Surely a club with shitloads of money has more bargaining power than the rags who owe more that Belgium is worth?
Ha Ha made me laugh that one

Did the player always earn 250k per week? What if one of these fixers knew the player when he was playing for peanuts? Should he declare that he was involved in match fixing before signing the 250k contract? How do you think his employer would feel about this?
It's been documented that City now do a lot of due diligence before signing any new players - this isn't only restricted to their on field performances - they want to know everything they can about his character - do you think there may be a reason for this?

Most probably because you wouldn't want to spend £40 million on someone who is a crazy mofo and talks about conspiracies all the time or something like that. See the problem is most "great" players are earning very good money from the day they sign there first contract. They have no need to be corrupted, okay some might just be stupid and do it but the days of corruption to players pretty much went with the Sky contracts

If players were paid to play shite, we must have had a load of them on the take over the years.

Corradi must have made a fortune.
