Is it right to blame your players in public ?

It is counterproductive and it should be dealt with behind closed doors.

Poor from Mancini. Might piss Joe off more than it motivates him to do better.

Oh poor Joe, well maybe he should taken it on the chin reflect on it and work harder still instead of cashing in doing stupid fucking adverts

If he doesn't like it then we can go and get a better keeper there are a few about

Mancini is a disgrace when we lose IMO, Would rather he was like ferguson and insulted officials/reality/fate than just turn on his own players every time.

Same after Ajax game when he insulted lescott when his formations and changes were equally if not more the reason why we lost.

He should take responsibility publicly regardless of whether he thinks its his fault or not. But never does.

It's not of course, great managers rarely do it.
Agree 100%. Yesterday was as much RM's fault for poor selection and substitutions. It's a character flaw along with his stubborn refusal to take advice.
When you play well and get a good result, good managers normally praise publicly, and urge them to keep up the good work behind closed doors.
When you play badly or get a bad result, good managers normally say little publicly, and really give them a rocket behind closed doors.

Not for me, no.

Lay into them all you like behind the scenes and make changes if you think they are letting you down but if you think doing it through the press is going to help improve them or bring harmony to a squad then you are pissed.

Agreed. Hate it when people get all defensive and start blaming other people. Does not help the sutuation one bit and will only make things worse. Again its another sample of terrible man management.

No, he should drop him and put Pants in for a while,

He needs to have a word with him about that piss poor Head and Shoulders shit as well.

Yes, Tesco's own brand is just as good and half the price.......

Always wrong in any walk of life for a manager to do to one of his employees.

It might be acceptable as a one off. The problem is Mancini does this everytime we lose. It is normally the strikers fault because "when you have chance to score, you must score". Just pushing the blame from himself to the players which is sly.
Yeah you're right, Mancini should take responsibility for 25+million strikers not finishing chances. REALLY?
I don't mind a public tongue lashing, these are professional footballers who earn a fucking fortune. The team out there yesterday should have had enough about them to see off Southampton. But it was a pathetic display, and the players who wanted it more got the win. Which is embarrassing considering we're supposedly in a title race.
What chances would these be then? I don't remember us having many against Southampton. You do understand that you can't just plonk Neymar in Plymouth Argyle's team and expect him to be prolific. You have to build a team to play to your Strikers strengths. The Midfielders need to press high to win the ball back early so the strikers don't get pulled back into midfield. As a team we need to move up the pitch to provide support to the attacking players. There is so much wrong with us, it is not as simple as "the strikers need to score".

This has happened time after time since Mancini arrived.
From Adeybayor to Tevez to Adam Johnson to Balotelli to Joe Hart , etc. etc. this is not acceptable and should always be dealt with behind closed doors.
Even baconface does not criticise in public.

Whilst I wish for the stability that we have with Mancini this attitude of them or me does not work.

Throwing in a 'red herring' have you noticed that since Balotelli departed we have not won and team morale has diminished! Perhaps we mis-judged him as a squad player all along.
