Is it wrong to put your dogs poo bags in someone elses bin?

If it was a one off I'd have no issue with it at all, even if a freshly emptied bin. I'm not inviting friends round to show them how unsmelly my bin is and neither do i spend time looking inside it, admiring it.
Life's too short. At least the OP was thoughtful in disposing it in a bin and not discarding it elsewhere or not even picking it up.
Thanks, I thought I was aswell. ;-)

I have never, ever considered what someone may be putting in my bin. I am surprised there are such opinions here but then some people arm their houses with CCTV so they can spend hours watching if the window cleaner did round the back.

I wouldn't be arsed if bin day was the following day, but putting it into a freshly emptied bin is a no no for me. Its just going to sit there making your bin hum of shite for a week. Should take it home to your own bin imo
Agree.
If the bin was out ready to be emptied in put it in one.
Worse are we people chuck it in a field.
Better left as it was not in a plastic bag

If you have a dog, take the crap home or a legitimate dog waste bin.bagged dog poo still smells and attracts flies, which then go into peoples’ houses and spread their crap on food. Sick of dog owners not taking responsibility for their pets

Took our dogs out this morning and collected their deposits as normal. As it was bin day on our road, I dropped them into a recently emptied bin. The lady whos bin it was saw me do this and complained. I sort of offered apologies but left as I couldn't reach in and retrieve them and didn't think it was a big issue. Anybody else experienced this kind of pocessive bin behaviour and was I wrong?
What colour was the said canine faeces?

If it was white then I heard that they are a bit of a collectors item these days.

In which case yours was an act of thoughtful generosity.

…is the correct-ish answer!

If the bins are out and not yet been picked up, no problem, but why would anyone think it’s OK to dump shit in someone else’s bin, esp if it’s going to sit in there all week?

Begs incredulity.

I don't generally do it myself but what does it matter? I'd have no objection to someone dropping dog shit in my bin so long it's properly bagged up. It's not my bin anyway. It belongs to the local council.
I don't think they belong to the council. When I enquired about getting a new bin in Tameside I was told I would have to pay £26. If I was to pay that much it would definitely be mine not theirs.
