Is now the time to consider Mancini's tenure at the club

Thing is that our last 3 performances (in the league) have been excellent and I expect more today. Every time the media have given us a twatting, we have destroyed our next opponents.

That hatchet job above is ridiculous. Trying to claim Benitez as some sort of tactician is re-writing history in the most obscene way possible.

I'm sure we'll beat Swansea and yes I agree we have an excellent record of bouncing back after defeats.

To be honest, the Ajax game, and Mancini's subsequent comments have reminded me of why I struggle to warm to him the way others have. He just comes off as someone who thinks he's far better than he actually is.

Isn't every single manager we know exactly the same?

Jointly most successful domestic coach over the last 6 years (with Jose and ahead of our erstwhile neighbours), so I can imagine he does have a fairly high opinion of himself.

Mancini is paid to get results. Now correct me if I am wrng but it matters not a fucking jot what the players think of him. I am sure he doesn't care. If the players, any of them don't like what he is doing then they can request a transfer and fuck off out of our club.

Mancinis record speaks for itself. Anything the media say is really just sensationalised bullshit. Can't wait for the Daily Mirror to be exposed as the News of the world was.

Can we just support the team, show a united front later ,get the 3 points and then let the hacks go back into there hole for a week knowing we are apparently in turmoil but potentially one win from going back to the top of the premiership.

Let the flappers keep flapping.

Simple answer is no

Mancini has his faults but to blame our shite away form in the CL on his shoulders is wrong

Players need to man the funk up

The attempt at patronising has failed Dave.

Tell me what needs steadying.

Tell me how we are in problems with our wonderful start that has garnered more points than last season, including wins at Brom and Fulham where we never do well.
get your head out of the sand. We have played maybe 15 games this season and I can remember 2 good performances(WBA and Sunderland) . For the most part in the other games we have been flapping around from formation to formation, scraping results with moments of brilliance. We haven't been dominating games and as soon as we've played in Europe our uncertainty in what we are doing has been exposed. The players have looked confused and frustrated at times; none more so than Ajax.

The good news is that the last three league performances have shown an improvement, mainly because we've stopped fucking about with systems and we've leant on the longer serving players and abandoned the players we bought in the summer.

We are out of two trophies. Mancini needs to build on the momentum we are starting to put together in the league and, like the author of the above piece says, stick To what we are good at: dominating midfield, breaking at pace and defending as a unit.

The players need that confidence back because we are going into some games which could define our season: utd and Chelsea for a start. Lose those and fall way behind and this season is turning into a disaster. Win them, get to the top of the league and the CL matters a lot less.

You can dress things up as much as you want, and I've seen loads of that this season already: 'we never win at fulham' and all that shite.this had not been a good couple of months for city, and it's been a fucking disastrous one for the manager. Let me be honest: he's been terrible.
That's OTT. You can't criticise our Premiership form/results

I can't work Mancini out. 2 seasons ago he was renowned for being a highly tactical coach who wouldn't think twice about putting 10 men behind the ball, but now when it's necessary, and so easy to do, he just will not defend away in Europe.

Whilst we are winning Premiership games and unbeaten in that competition he should be safe. But I wish he would learn. He has lost a lot of respect and authority

Beat Taggart and United to the title before beating the European Champions in the Charity Shield.

I suppose it could make you feel a little confident.

You can have as high an opinion of yourself as you like if you also have the humanity to be able to gain your players respect and trust. I don't think Mancini does.<br /><br />-- Sat Oct 27, 2012 11:43 am --<br /><br />

I know he is. I think he's a very good coach. I'm grateful to him for the FA Cup and the league. I think he has earned the right to be at City beyond this season through winning things. None of this however changes my opinion that his opinion of himself is grossly overinflated, and that there are far better managers than him out there for our club.
