Is now the time to consider Mancini's tenure at the club

We were not shocking at all mate, same goes for the reading match.

Reading match:

Possession 73%

Corners 12

Goal attempts 21
And in those 2 games the amount of clear cut chances created can be counted on one hand.
You 100% sure about that?
Well today we had Kompany hitting the bar, Yaya follow up saved, silva chance saved. All the rest were either straight forward saves or like Aguero's one on one at an impossible angle so 3. Against reading we had the goal and the Tevez one on one in the first half. The rest being relatively straight forward saves so 2. 5 in total

But how many were actual decent chances against Reading? One? Same problem today. Champions don't make one chance a match against mid-table teams, and that's being generous.

Does that make us shocking?

I'll admit I've seen no highlights of the match but we lost due to what sounded like a lucky goal from Johnson. The Pundits were saying he didn't even realise it went in. Is that an abysmal performance from City? 57% possession and 12 shots on target too.

If I'm wrong then I'll hold my hands up but it just didn't happen for us today.

It wasn't shocking at all, and nor was the Reading performance. However, what both games did do (as if we didn't already know), is show how limited we are when confronted with a parked bus. No pace, no width, no-one who can whip in an accurate cross of the type the rags thrive on in similar circumstances. Blame lies with the manager for me

I thought the Reading match was really boring and it's one of the first matches this season I haven't enjoyed regardless of the result. We came up against enough stubborn defences last season (very few came to City with the intention of giving us a proper game) but always managed to get through them.

I'm not buying this "shocking" performance you're describing, Jay. Other people aren't as infuriated.

So - we might not win the title this year - boo hoo - sack the manager!! - despite him being hamstrung by Marwoods misplaced belief that you don't need to spend big to get quality.
If Mancini had been properly backed and got his way in the summer to sign RVP and/or Hazard - we'd be walking it - SO who's fault is it??
Ferguson got his way despite a poor season - Mancini got shafted by Marwood's weasel assurances, despite bringing us the Premiership title!
Also - why is it always sack sack sack with us?? Ferguscum has 12 titles in 26 years - we'd have sacked him 14 times.

That said - a very disappointing day today - I think we're entering a hanging onto Champions League footaball stage.

Absolutely not, no, in answer to the OP.

(that is, unless either Guardiola or Mourinho are available & willing to come in Jan)

Chelsea's resurgence under Benitez is worrying me. He might make a couple of signings in the transfer window too.

The rags are out in force on this thread tonight
Sad bastards.

No offence but personally I think the sad bastards are the ones who have fuck all to say about the match (because we were shite), yet are on threads like this like flies on shit calling all and sundry rags for thinking Mancini isn't up to the job.

Some of you need to get a grip and accept that Mancini won't be universally loved (it's very rare that managers are).
It wasnt aimed at you
Just the ones who only comment on our losses but are invisible when we win

Unless you've got a photographic memory I daresay the people you consider invisible simply don't comment on Mancini related matters. DD, who's currently getting it in the neck for being a rag and never posting after we win, was on here last weekend talking German football in the General Football forum. Of course that will have gone unnoticed by most.

I certainly don't agree with what he posted before the derby, but that doesn't make him a rag. In fact I can understand why he posted what he did in the face of all the abuse he takes. It's very easy to become a product of your environment on this forum and give people what they expect.

Name other clear cut chances then....

I really believe some fellow blues are in denial about our performances this season. If this carries on there's no way we're winning the League.
