Is now the time to consider Mancini's tenure at the club

The 3 questions I have to ask of Mancini are, Can you improve the team, reduce the age and reduce the wage bill all at the same time?

I'd imagine the top 2 targets would be Pepe and Jose then perhaps some famous managers such as Klopp, Capello, Anchelotti and Rafa the gaffa, Mourinho would want a gazillions, Klopp won't leave Dortmund, Mancini's better than Capello, Anchelotti and the fat Spanish waiter.


I'd love to see Zeman(Roma boss.) with this squad and the money but Pep seems the safer option.

I would suggest you have no idea what Capello has and still can achieve in football to make a ridiculous comment like Mancini is better than Capello. Too much time reading rag papers when in charge of England may have warped you in to thinking he wasn't the best manager England have ever had, the stats back that up as well

How many world cups did Capello win with England?

What I'm pretty sure they won't do is replace Mancini in the hope that the chosen man (whoever it is) will join. They'll probably have a decent idea already what options will be available to us, and when.

Mourinho, quitting = wouldn't put it past Madrid.

Like you, the lay of the land will be of some idea to City.

But guys like Jose have kept us dangling before.

The position at United is up for grabs for both him and Pep, so we would need to preempt that appointment by establishing it outright, play them off against each other.

Cups, plural. They also won the FA Cup, so not a bad season considering they changed their manager halfway through the season.

True, but beside the point. It's not the way I want our club to act, and in the long term I think it will cause damage to Chelsea.

You don't rate what Chelsea have done but their trophy haul in recent years is not to be dismissed. I don't believe you need to keep a manager for decades to ensure success

Neither do I. But the last three (or is it four) seasons now Chelsea have downed tools to get a manager sacked. They have the power to hire and fire there, and it's cost them a decent chance of the league for a decent stretch now. And I wouldn't bet against them doing the same next year around October.

If and when the people in charge decide to replace Mancini that's there decision to make. But they shouldn't be dictated to by players deciding not to play.

I'm currently reading Peps biography by guillem balague (?) and I really don't think he'd succeed outside of Barca, as dedicated and meticulous as he seems.
It's interesting to note that Soriano (?) when at Barca was very keen on Jose and not Pep, before the board eventually went with Pep.

Mancini looks like he wants to back to Italy the bloke looks homesick.

Body language and our analyzing of it is usually bullshit but he doesn't look half passionate he was last season to me too.

He was too, too relaxed yesterday, he couldn't put 3 words together in same situation last year.
