Is now the time to consider Mancini's tenure at the club

Today will tell us all a hell of a lot imo.

Drop further behind today and Soriano will have all the ammo he needs if he wishes to pull the trigger.

-- Sat Dec 29, 2012 10:35 am --

We can't have been that bad!

I can see positions getting cast in stone here! I think it pays to be flexible in your opinions, a few good wins tend to change things

I agree, that's why I believe it's easier to sit with the "what will be, will be" philosophy.

I can understand the position of the polar opposites though.

What will be will be is fine unless:
1. The wheels fall off and we look like we're struggling for CL qualification.
2. A better manager becomes available.

But surely mate that fits with my philosophy?

As I've just posted, and said straight after the Sunderland game, if we fall further behind today then our top brass will have the opportunity to pull the trigger, if they so wish, without worrying about the media backlash.

At some point in the Premiership you will lose back to back games.

Game 1) Team plays OK against an ultra-defensive team, but full-back is fouled and ref misses it, winger picks it up and with no full-back comes in side and fires it in from 25 yards and usually reliable keeper is beaten by the bounce at the near post

Game 2) A variation on the above

These incidents can happen in football. Managers can't script the games.

I'm with you Rammy and hg in that there is no point pulling the trigger now should the worst happen and our season really implodes as i just don't see any suitable candidate for the job being available until the summer anyway.

Even now with the gap, im confident we can win the league again if Bob just sits back, reflects on how we turned our season around last year when all seemed lost and just tells his squad he trusts and believes them and works with the top class players we have instead of seemingly against them at times.

Fake??

I doubt the photo is fake as we know that Jose is in Dubai.

What would need clarification is exactly who he is at the table talking to.

He is in Dubai and not a chance, City would meet with him and allow a photo to be taken and leaked, especially if members of the ruling family were at said meeting.

IMO.

What every Arab in head dress is associated with MCFC?!!

Was an interesting post to be fair though

To be fair though mate, I'm also of the opinion that should we fall further behind then there is the option of bullet immediately as it will allow the position to be open so that we can gauge interest of people like Jose and Pep.

City could make me caretaker and I'd back myself to finish top 3 with the squad we have at our disposal....
