Is now the time to consider Mancini's tenure at the club

I'm with you Rammy and hg in that there is no point pulling the trigger now should the worst happen and our season really implodes as i just don't see any suitable candidate for the job being available until the summer anyway.

Even now with the gap, im confident we can win the league again if Bob just sits back, reflects on how we turned our season around last year when all seemed lost and just tells his squad he trusts and believes them and works with the top class players we have instead of seemingly against them at times.

To be fair though mate, I'm also of the opinion that should we fall further behind then there is the option of bullet immediately as it will allow the position to be open so that we can gauge interest of people like Jose and Pep.

City could make me caretaker and I'd back myself to finish top 3 with the squad we have at our disposal....

We don't need to sack Mancini to gauge interest from Mourinho and Guardiola. I'd be amazed if we're not doing that now anyway.

You know what I mean mate, there's one thing sounding someone out but completely different kettle of fish when they know that we've already taken the step of bulleting the incumbent.

Simplistic I know but an opinion shared by so many of us and its what makes Bobs struggles at times all the more puzzling and frustrating.

Sure we cant play at 100% all the time but to have large periods not getting anywhere near to that level and worse, periods playing well below is just not acceptable given the level of competition we face and the resources the club has to hand.

i will say it again, he needs to relax, stop trying to over complicate the game and realise that the players we have don't need to taught how to play, they are pretty fucking good already.

At least fans get the disappointment out of the way now, and the only way is up

City can't win the League every season. I don't expect to do so now, but there's still a significant chance (I gave up after Arsenal away last season and was in full meltdown mode)

Utd turned the screw with the ref assisted wins at Anfield and Stamford Bridge whilst our forwards have been off form all season - apart from Tevez maybe right at the start. I cant really fault Mancini at any stage. We've been marginally under par for the whole season but I put that down to the form of forwards who had a collective downturn at the same time.

Managers are at times in the hands of the footballing Gods of fortune. And Man Utd are a formidable opponent. They bought a year or two's grace with an ageing forward line, but it will rebound on them quicker than they think.

I suggest you pop into Carrington and offer your services. Im sure Mancini could your job for a couple of weeks while you sort this malaise out. Im positive Chris Houghton will be shitting himself that blueinsa is bringing his MCFC side down to Carrow Rd

This has been largely my opinion - and mainly still is. I do feel though that with the general weak strength of the PL that I'd expect to get the results we're getting without a manager - or at least with *any* manager. In other words, I don't think his methods are contributing right now.

What troubles me about Mancini is what I've been told about his absolute lack of contact with the players. I understand he has practically nothing to do with them and our team spirit is generated by the players. Maybe this isn't uncommon but I'd prefer it wasn't that way.

United continue to eke out victories via witchcraft but there's still a lot of football to play. Like you say, most of us gave up after Arsenal - who could blame us. Actually I'd pretty much given up the week before; their Voodoo was so strong at the time.

I do agree with this, but it also seems that whenever any of our lads does seem to get on somewhat of a vein of scoring, he is inevitably left on the bench for the following game. Frustrating.

Good for you, looking at your post history, it seems its all you do.

One dimensional springs to mind, almost like our football at present.

Happy New Year Blue ;-)
