Tony Blair, Iraq and WMD; ring any bells? Did Blair start it? No, he didn't. Did he move heaven and earth to keep Britain out of it? Again, no he didn't.It was a pointless war, it couldve been solved diplomatically by international sanctions without any loss of life. It would never have happened under a Labour Government. But Thatcher got everyone flag waving.

No one has any proof of who knew what but it was widely accepted the yank govt were not happy when they were told to stop at the Kuwait border. They manufactured an excuse.Any proof or just your opinion Musty ?

I think they were probably so determined to do it that they convinced themselves that there might be WMDs. They went looking for evidence of it after making their minds up first.
Hence the reliance on scaremongering bollocks like 45 minutes and the informant that watched "The Rock" movie (Sean Connery and Nic Cage) and described the entirely fictional poison missile technology.
