Isco & Cavani

As most have said, we have we done really well without Isco and Cavani.

Maybe more importantly, we have told the Football World we are not just a check book. WE will buy players who suit and want to play for our TEAM and only on the right financial terms.

It was fairly given that Pellegrini's arrival would boost our Playmakers no end ( In Villareal he had Cazorla,in Malaga it was Isco and Cazorla).Infact Isco and Nasri are similar players and its very clear at this stage of the season to see how Nasri gained his self-Confidence in taking on players back. The way he humiliated the two players of Moscow after which Silva hit the side netting was phenomenal. So I for one am glad we missed out on Isco. Our front 6 is so fluid in passing, pressing and shooting,it puts everybody's eyegasm mode on.And Cavani vs Negredo ,Similar players, both goal scorers, except for the fact Alvaro is a Beast and we saved over 30 million by not getting Cavani.

P.S-We should buy that young playmaker from Athletico,Oliver Torres before the two common teams from spain tries to get him.

Barca have first option after selling Villa for cheap money to Athletico. He will be the next Xavi absolutely no doubt.

They don't actually, at first the press thought it was Oliver but it was actually Saul Niguez and Javi Manquillo who they gained first refusal on.

I agree with your post on all counts (quite rare in this place!)

Both Negredo and Nasri have performed really well. The beast is cementing his position in the team with great link up play with Sergio and Nasri is a totally different player from the one that played under bobby.

I agree that Isco would have been a fantastic signing for us had it come about, but with Nasri playing the way he is and with the injured Jovetic to become fully fit - I would say that we have not missed either signings of Cavani and Isco.

However, isco imo made the wrong move in the summer. He has I think only made one full start, has made cameo appearence & sometimes remained on the bench. At the minute I do not think he has played the last five games for Real - it will be interesting to see if he gets itchy feet and looks for a move away either in January or next summer in which case I think we would still try and get his services again. The press over in Spain are asking the same questions at the minute suggesting he might move elsewhere

Isco falls by the wayside

From starter status to reserve, Isco, who started the season stockpiling goals, praise, applause and headlines, has become the main casualty of Ancelotti's formation change and his definitive choice of the 4-3-3.

While 'Carletto' was flirting with a variety of systems over the course of the first eight games, Isco was a mainstay in the starting line-up; since he decided on a tactical change against FC Copenhagen, the Golden Boy has been a regular on the bench.

The former Málaga player, with the impetus of a summer break cut short by the Under-21s European Championships, hit the ground running to start the season. His spectacular form helped justify the sale of Özil. "With Isco and Bale, there's no place for Özil", was the word from the offices at the Bernabéu.

Isco scored 4 goals in the first five games of the season. He had the Bernabéu at his feet. He was on course to be a contender for the 'Pichichi' (top league goalscorer), but he began to run out of steam. He has not scored since the fifth league game of the season, against Getafe at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, and has now gone seven consecutive league games without hitting the target. His last full match came a week earlier, against Villarreal on 14th September.

Isco's performance statistics look even worse for the Champions League. The Golden Boy scored in Turkey against Galatasaray, in his continental competition debut with Real Madrid, but he has only played 105 minutes out of a possible total of 360.

dont know if he will be available n january , but given nasri's form so far and jovetic to come back am not sure

I've been following Isco since the two last seasons, and I can say that his improvement has been absolutely meteoric, until Real Madrid. He might consider left RM if the situation doesn't changes. And then, MP's influence might be the key.
