Barca youngster, considered to be pretty much the best prospect coming through La Masia but also a bit of an attitude problem. Likely riskier than Isco but greater potential reward.

I know how bluemoon feel about youtube clips (Bianchi and Jo looked class) but it's better than nothing

Was under the impression that barca regard Deulofeu as their hottest prospect since Messi and was not going to sold.

He is one of their brightest stars, however he has not yet agreed to sign a new contract with Barca.

Tito Vilanova has stated that Deulofeu is in his plans in an attempt to reassure him. Zubizarretta is in charge at barca in terms of getting him to sign a new contract.

His contract runs out in 2014 and Barca reportedly want to increase his buy-out clause which currently stands at only £10m.

I hope that Txiki is serious about going for him as he is a class player. He can fill the Messi role and also play as a striker and as a winger - he is that versatile. He would add that bit of magic to ur midfield, the same way Messi & neymar do for there sides.

I thought his buyout was 7 million pounds.

Cuenca, Tello & Sergio Roberto are picked ahead of him always, if he was "exceptional" he should be ahead at least ahead of them.

National team manager used to always pick people ahead of Silva and neither of the two big clubs in Spanish football pursued him with any real interest until he started shining here. Fact is you can't tell how he'll do unless he gets the chance.

Cuenca (21), Tello (21), and Roberto (20) are all older than Deulofeu (18). Barca have a thing about not promoting too fast these days, which some of them don't like which is why a number of their kids jump to other academies/first teams. Busquets was 20 and Pedro was 21 when they made their competitive first team debuts. Deulofeu was 17 when he got his competitive first team debut in 2011, same age Messi got his. He is a star in the making and the chip on his shoulder may actually be our way of getting him if we promise him the first team football he thinks he deserves.

tevez city has a point if he was that good he would be getting more of a chance and barca would be fighting to keep him, in terms of barca players he is not as good as other youth strikers and players already in the squad

They are fighting to keep him, they're desperate for him to sign a new contract. Promising news for us is that his camp are stalling. Again, Barcelona do not like giving their kids too much, too soon, it's a policy of their academy to keep the egos down. Deulofeu is their academy golden boy and top scorer in the Spanish second division.

As someone said, there have been reports Barca want Neymar, Messi, and Deulofeu to be their front three in a few years time.
