Isco

The only frustrating this about this transfer is that if reports are correct he has been a major target for at least half a year now and then for Madrid and Zidane to come and tie it up in a few days seems strange.

And so far 2 overpriced dodgy singings
This. Quite pathetic how city can let RM do this under our noses. This is why we never will step up to the next level

It's Real Madrid for fucks sake.

If they want a player noone but Barca can compete.

As for F'diunho and Navas being dodgy, they are precisely what we've needed. Athleticism in the middle and a pacey (proper) wide player. Grow up

Dodgy signings says the manager of the year here.cavani has a 53 million buy out clause, that ends in August. Why pay over the odds now.

Isco looks to have chose Madrid, what can anyone at city do about that. Kidnapping and torture are not allowed yet in football deals.
You pay over the odds now or lose out to better teams like Madrid and united with rvp

How do you mean, 'let Madrid'? You know who Real Madrid are, right? We may have a bunch of world class players and some recent success, but we aren't on Madrid's level when it comes to attracting players to come here rather than go to them. We are competing with them, which is fantastic. That's not doing City down, before SWP says that's what i'm doing, it's being a realist. I'm sure Isco was happy with the idea of coming here, the indications certainly suggest that - until Madrid showed their interest. The insecure on here refer to that as 'bullying', whereas I see it was them simply turning the head of a footballer because of who they are in the scheme of things, like Barca would and a couple of other clubs too. It's how it is.
Im very well aware about Madrid, but he wanted to come to us we had him in the bag until four days ago. you tell me city did everything they could to finailize this deal
No,
I bet they've been say around watching Jeremy Kyle re-runs whilst smoking big fat Cigars!

Beat me to it.

We need to take a step back and realise we are not on the same level as Barca and Madrid just yet.

But the fact we were very close and ran Madrid to the line shows that we are getting there. We are certainly starting to become a formidable force both on and off the pitch.

Yes, but Tixi and Feran were employed to bridge that gap and their first big test appears to have been failed miserably.

I know nothing is guaranteed but maybe they are not the big influence we assumed they would be on bringing players in.

I'm sure they do a great job in other aspects of their role mind.

Not one person other than Isco and City officials know what we did and what stages negotiations went to. We know Isco said last week that he has offers from Madrid and City, (or City and Madrid for the poster last week who was asking why Madrid had their name stated first in the press, lol). We know that because Isco said so himself. It appears he had shown strong interest in joining City, but then Madrid bid for him too. I saw one poster label Madrid as 'Scumdrid', i'm presuming because they appear to have beaten us to a signing. That's just bizarre, because isn't that the name of the game? To sign players? It's not that long ago we were watching a player 'snub' us for Bradford fucking City, whereas we are now competing with the best clubs in the world for signatures, and coming close.

A 21 year old moving to a different country is a pretty big
step to make though isn't it. Perhaps he thought he's not
ready to make that move yet. Give him 4 years at Madrid
then we'll come calling
.

LOL. We can't compete with Madrid. End of. Now or in 4 years when he's likely worth even more.

The worry for us is Utd can compete with Barca for Thiago.
"End of", are you from darn sarf?
You're not supposed to write anything after "end of".

-- Tue Jun 25, 2013 8:24 am --
