City are closing in on a deal to bring Isco to the Etihad Stadium, according to reports this morning.

The Spanish star has been linked frequently with the Blues in recent weeks, and now the Daily Star report that a deal is close to being completed.

Paul Hetherington writes: “City are in advanced negotiations with his club Malaga and the Spain winger’s representatives.

“Isco, 21, has a £27million buy-out clause in his contract with the Champions League quarter-finalists.”

Despite it being the Daily Star, this looks to hopeful as every Spanish media outlet is stating Isco is going to City.

It makes sense that with Barca being after both Pellegrini and especially Isco this Summer, and with Ferran's bad history with Rossell, that both Txiki and Ferran did not want to lose out on both these guys to the hands of Barca and were willing to pay top for them...

Can't wait! Just wonder how to we accommodate Silva, Nasri and Isco!?

Stick all three behind one striker in Aguero. Milner and Tevez can rotate with any of those three for cup matches etc and Guidetti can rotate with Aguero hopefully.

Baines is hands down the best left back in the league he provides world class crosses, speed, and WIDE PLAY. not to mention hes amazing at set peices and can defend its a no brainier really. paleg uses fullbacks for the width so its a no brainier. him and baines would just rip open any team. and if we can steal benteke or lukaku would be beyond fantastic

Benteke is a great 'prospect' but lacks team awareness, to early in his development to play for a top 4 club as he needs games, he starts at villa for that reason, Lukaku will be a phenomenal striker in 2 years and another fuck up from Marwood, we could of had him 18 months ago, however if you think Chelsea are giving up that jewel you need to put the pipe down, it's not inconceivable that with Jose there next year he could well blossom 12 months ahead of schedule!!!!

As for Baines he's relied upon in a very average everton team, he wouldn't get the same ball time at city and isn't fit to lace clichys boots defensively - MP uses hard working wingers which allows his fullbacks to push on, he gets the width right here and you'll see zab and clichy go up another level still!!!

First Everton are not an average team. He alone has supplied most of there goal scoring chances and conversions not just in the epl more like europe!. His crosses, and set plays are enough to get him a starting place in most top clubs even if he dosent see alot of the ball like in everton when he gets it u know the service will be quality (something we lack in spades) not to mention the threat he will provide other teams knowing that they have to respect him and will open up the oppositions box. . His work rate is top notch.. and hes a good defender (maybe not clichy but still good). so again he would be a perfect singing and micha on the right both bombing forward would cause defenses nightmares.

So Evertons greatest threat comes from a left back? you're answering your own analysis blindly, Everton are a very avergae team who have been playing above themselves, alot like the scum, because of gollum, hence the appointment at the swamp - Yes Baines has quality, no doubting it but he certainly isn't going to fit into the system city will implement under MP!
