Isco

Re: Isco (Part 8 (weekend saga part 3))

Sorry if posted, but if not very interesting indeed. Seems 100%.

The Spanish Press charm offensive on Isco is something to admire, but simply not true. Stay patient.

Didn't Isco only go on holiday on Friday? I doubt he'd cut his holiday short to go anywhere to sign anything.
He also said he would let people know his decision yesterday. I think. Don't hold me to that. This has been twisty.

If I had to venture a guess after putting as many pieces together as possibly (at least half of which are likely false) I would guess... and this is just a guess... that the truth is that Malaga prefers Madrid's offer but Isco wants City, so there's an impasse. I'm not saying that's an original idea. I've seen it suggested even by possible ITKs, but it does fit what the situation seems to be.

but the questions is whether we have clearly met the buyout transfer fee/structure in his contract - this at least appears debatable, although one of the more informed posters on here says that we have; IF we have, then and only then, is it down to Isco

I suspect he's being carried down a ramp out of the belly of that giant plane that's just landed at the airport on a throne of gold with naked call girls throwing rose petals in the path of his bearers... wearing the new kit.

This whole fiasco is really exaggerating how good he is. We missed out on better players last year and the year before (bearing in mind Sanchez's form pre-Barca). We're losing a better player in a battle with Chelsea and Madrid. Two much better players have already signed for Bayern and Barca. We've arguably already signed two better players.

I like Isco but he's really not much better than Oscar or Nasri or Kagawa. Hazard, Silva, Mata leagues ahead.

Sure. I took that possibility into account with my thoughts. In the end it is down to him if he's not signed for one of many reasons with either club. We might never know for sure. As I said, it's just speculation based on what are hopefully the more reliable snippets.

Re: Isco (Part 8 (weekend saga part 3))

I was getting a bit fearful when I read somewhere on here, that the reason for the delay of an official announcement from Madrid was because they can't announce it for one reason or another until July. But surely, if we knew was out of this race then the club would've publicly pulled out of the deal by now to save any potential humiliation?

There isn't much to do at Carrington today though with no players around. Surely he will be getting the 'club tour' at the Etihad?

I don't think there's even a chance that Isco would have been able to get to Manchester without anybody finding out.

Still probably something Pellegrini related.

it only comes down to the player if 1 or more clubs agree the contractual buyout terms with Malaga - I have seen it reported that madrid have (albeit via very biased Spanish media sources), I have not seen media confirmation that we have (although ITK's say we have)

Fair point, I don't mean to piss anyone off but I was hoping people could take any subjective post on this forum as the poster's opinion as it can't be anything else.
