Isco

What makes me laugh is that people are complaining we spent 30 mill on ferdi and saying if we don't get Isco due to money it's a disgrace. Each player is valued on certain merits by both the buying and selling clubs. Last year it was obvious we needed more energy in midfield to balance Yaya and Barry - we chose ferdi who has good pedigree in Europe (although not many Brazilian caps but IMO that's because brazil are snobbish about the league he played in). We have nasri, silva, navas, Milner already and the need for an Isco is not so great. Coupled with his age and relatively unproven we will decide what we value him at. It's not a computer game and money has to be a factor. If we get him I will be over the moon but I wish the playstation generation on here would start thinking in the real world and not virtual.

If he does go to Madrid, as is looking likely, i hope a few of the ITK's will be reprimanded

Lol, I just don't see him going Real. It makes me laugh though, the UK media report a story & everyone calls bullshit, yet the Spanish media report a story & it becomes the end of the world & a mass flap starts.
The clues are:
* "Pellegrini i see as a father type figure in my life" after he knew he was off
* "I would love to continue to develop under Pellegrini" knowing full well he's City bound
* He himself has hinted as much that he's coming
* reported his dad (his advisor) spent 2 days with the club & left very impressed
* it's only Spanish (biased) media, & a Real supporting paper at that, reporting he's Real bound
IMHO I believe he's going to be a City player & in all honesty I think it was agreed a while ago. I'm not claiming I know for fact but I'm adding the dots & taking in the time to think about it realistically.

I hope you're right. We seem to get led round this sort of thing every transfer window

It was always going to be hard to try and convince a Spanish player not to move to Madrid, with players like kaka leaving and modric probably not being first choice ancelloti will want a player that defines his era. Without pelle I don't think he would even consider us, it just looks like he wants to move there and you can't really blame him

Way to many FIFA fanboys on here ;)

If we do lose out on Isco it will be nothing to do with the price imo.

I thought you were sure we were getting him a while back? Or am i mistaking you for someone else?

You have mistaken me for someone else.

Well, this isn't good. AS' Malaga correspondent has Tweeted "Isco's transfer to Real Madrid is a reality. 30 million."

Chill... The price is right.

I am chilled and still confident. The leaks in the Spanish Press are the same as what was reported a couple of days ago in our press.

I'm not saying I'm right or wrong, but I am confident he's already ours & as such wont panic about the Spanish media trying to drum up sales.
You also have to factor in its public knowledge we have an agreement in place with Real, are they gonna piss us off knowing we could potentially outbid them on every target they have just because we can if we wanted!
Maybe part of the deal was they back off Isco & we back off a target of theirs? Maybe Cavani? Although tbh I'm confident he'll be a City player too come the start of the league.
