we dropped a big clanger not paying hazard's agent fee, and then followed that up by not paying Isco's agent fee.

Hazard chose Chelsea

Isco(and his dad....) chose Madrid.

I'm not sure why you're attempting to attribute 'blame' to our club.

Hazard chose the club who accepted all his conditions.

Chelsea paid 32m + 6m agent fees which is 38m for Hazard, and right now he worth much more.
It's amazing the amount of posters on here who have seen the contracts and have access to absolutely every single detail.

We only have access on the media and they all agreed on that.

Most of us heard about his 6 million agent fees that we refused to pay.

Isco for Silva is a no brainer
I love Isco, was gutted when we missed out on him because I had no doubts he'd become the hit he has at Madrid. That said, given the choice, you're correct, it would be a no brainer - David Silva all day every day and twice on a Sunday.
Ask again in 3 seasons when Isco is 25 and Silva hitting his early 30's and my answer might be reversed, but not a chance right now.

It would be idiotic not to swap Silva for Isco. Same with Hazard and Robben

Silva is my favorite player to watch but the truth is, he is getting old and will soon be past his prime. Isco on the other hand is just entering his prime and is supremely talented. Anytime you can get a player of about the same quality and 6 years younger on a straight swap you should absolutely do the deal.

Like I said 3 years time maybe. Anyone willing to let Silva go in a swap with anyone but Messi can't have watched us for the last 4 years.
Silva has definitely got 3 years left at the very pinnacle of the game - he'll still be a great player afterwards, but 3 years then look to replace him. Even then I'll probably have a little weep to myself..

Hmm Isco Koke and Silva. A magical spanish attacking midfield. ;)

Shneiderlin-Dinho
Koke-Silva-Isco
Aguero

With Navas for Koke on bench.

I can't imagine Real ever letting him go, so I don't really see the point in wanting him here. Oliver Torres is the one I'd be after. Equally talented, but at a club that don't aprreciate his skillset and where he'll never really fit their style. He could easily be our long term successor to Silva

Silva's going to be playing at this level for another half decade imo. Possibly beyond. He's such a remarkable player.

Everyone on here loves saying "Player X can play at this level for Y more years" without anything to back up their statement.

If you look at attacking midfielders you will find pretty much no one who is the same player at 34 that he was at 29.

Silva is still the superior play maker. We should be looking to play the two together, not swap one for another

Well obviously, but that wasn't the question.
