Istanbul CL Final chaos | City Matters statement (p 133)

Please everyone who's submitted here.

If you email your experiences to alex.howell@citymatters.co.uk he is collating them to submit to the club and will ask them to take up the matter formally with UEFA.

It's all well and good fuming on here but if you don't try to tell the club exactly what happened in writing they can't do anything about it.

Mods can we get a stick at the start of the thread for that info? So many people posting their experiences here but it's not an official channel.

I went to buy some water at the end of the match after most had left and it was on thr verge if closing, all they had left were those tiny 100ml yogurt pots of warm water in boxes. Asked for 4, guy serving quoted me 10 euros, said I'm paying in lira, he then tries charging me 500lira which was close to £20, threw 2 of them back at them in disgust but dehydration forced me to take 2. next guy who was taking the cash charged me 130 lira for the 2. Proof beyond any doubt they were just making the prices up and pocketing a lot of money. How such blatant extortion could be on display at a uefa event is baffling to me. Guarantee we'll never see that addressed by uefa.
They tried to charge me €12 for two of the slightly larger ones in the stadium

In the fanzone on the way to the dreaded buses we tried to get food but they claimed it was cash only.. we didn’t have enough left, another guy had just paid on card with kids but they told us the system had gone down.. they were pocketing the cash more like

Shambles apart from the game

Didn’t hear much booing of their anthem in Istanbul. Well fuck the cunts, after this the booing will be louder than ever, CUNTS

It truly was a shit-show. Thank god they gave Inter fans the metro. Imagine going through all of that if we lost the game?

That’s because the sly cunts played it as the teams started to come out of the tunnel and both sets of fans were cheering. By the time they were lined up the jingle had virtually finished and very few had realised it had already been played.
