Italy v England | Thurs 23rd March 2023, 19:45

Who won? Going by these comments england lost I'm guessing? I don't particularly care either I don't watch England games.

Italy were given a rocket by Bobby at half time and it showed but they didn't really have a shot overall.

I’m guessing the outrage over that sub is he plays for City ?
Southgate did what he thought best to see out the game, by taking off an attacking player for defensive … and yes doing the same thing again with Saka 5 minutes later.
Killing more time.
It was game management and that’s why we managed to hold out with 10 men
We managed to hold out because of Stones and dumb luck. The result should not be attributed to Southgate’s game management in any way.

Ffs Southgate is David Moyes without bollocks, both have won fuck all.

Doesn't alter it that any half decent striker would have really punished them not just an Argentinian born striker making his debut.

Well done Kalvin Phillips. After a few dodgy passes, he grew into the game and fought tooth & nail for the victory. Amazing 95 minutes considering he has only played 60 minutes for City all season. Kudos also to John Stones for a massive performance.
