his agent is right, Giovinco is a good player but not better than what we already have.

A greed, much like Cerci.

Agents just name-drop us now. That's why all those stupid jokes about us being linked with everything under the son including the pope in a £100million deal etc.

Only Wingers we should target are Hazard (central player too), Bale, Lavezzi (CMF who can play role). It's just that 3rd runner that can blister his way through and can put a ball in the danger zone from wide positions as well as the killer ball through. That needed player for Defense-minded teams. I genuinely see us beating the 90 point barrier next season with these improvement.

We're signing the Pope now... Jesus

No pedophiles please.

Tiote's a good player but in a game which would've taken Newcastle very close to CL qualification, he went missing.
Imo he's very over rated... I admit I've only seen him about 5 times but he seemed to give away the ball for fun in every game.

Exactly, he's not great, he's good. Also, he gets a ridiculous number of bookings. Can't trust him.

M'Vila looks a bit short of pace and rather one-footed on his vids

Look no further than Tiote

Said this all along. Ideally Martinez but if not then Tiote. Played with Yaya for Ivory Coast and links up play from defense to attack pretty well, solid player and one that would relish a chance at the big time. Maybe send AJ there in a swap + cash?
The cash would have to be coming our way in that deal. Tiote is highly overrated. Energetic and a good ball winner, but much worse than Nigel when he has got the ball

Saw that last week but dismissed it as it didn't seem to be verified. However, if Nigel is sold and with Barry not getting any younger, then there is possibly an opening

he is not good enough for us and where we are at and going

Rather than buy another holding midfielder - like Tiote - we should probably keep De Jong - if he will sign a new contract (not sure if he is beingtouted around Europe) and then focus on giving Nasri an opportunity in his preferred position and Milner needs to be given an opportunity in lesser games to establish himself in a central role. We have tonnes of options. Not forgetting all these are backups to the excellent Yaya and Barry

Lol. Tiote was burned out from AFCON and still had a good end to season, a better one than Silva has had imho.

Tiote is better passer than De Jong and moves forward more, very similar in play to Lassana Diarra. Whilst I hope De Jong stays I personally think we need more mobility in the middle. Top often we are nailed on the break and De Jong been at fault with a bad pass.

Eyes don't lie guys.

De Jong, the man who can't pass and doesn't move forward, setup the assist for Agueros goal versus QPR after carrying the ball ten yards, and playing a nice give/go with Sergio.

Too many FIFA players, not enough football watchers.

Tiote does not pass the ball better than de jong. Nigel does the job hes asked which protecting the defence and keeping the ball which is crucial as we play with a front 4 meaning if de jong started to move forward we would have no midfield. If we're going to buy a centre mid then buy a box to box one not fucking tiote or diarra.
Fellaini or modric would be good signings imo

It bugs me when people say De Jong can't pass forward... when he passes forward IN EVERY SINGLE GAME and he has a very high pass completion rate. Then they say he is too defensive, well yeah, he's clearly instructed to be by the manager and if he was told to push forward he would, he doesn't have a phobia of crossing the half way line or anything.
