Just read this about Van Persie:

Manchester City reportedly set to offer Van Persie a chance to join the Premier League champions, Arsenal are willing to make the 28-year-old the highest paid player in their history by agreeing a £130,000-a-week deal.

But an Arsenal source insists van Persie is not swayed by money and is purely focused on the chance to win trophies.

"Arsenal know it's not about the money," the source said.

"Even if they offered Van Persie what City can pay it would make no difference if he doesn't believe the club can challenge for trophies."

Getting their "Its not about money" stance out there early. Encouraging

I don't want RVP.

I am not sure IF RVP & Aguero will form better partnership than Tevez & Aguero !

I'm sure Mancini and the owner are more bothered about what they want rather than what YOU want! Stop acting like a brat and be grateful for the position we are in!!!

oh yes i forgot that it is my obligation to agree with every rumour that links us with a good player because 13 years ago we were in division 2, and should i fail to perform this simple task i am a spoilt brat and an armchair fan.

not the way it works mate. i don't want to sign van persie, i am perfectly entitled to my opinion and have the ability to justify my opinion 100%.

Too old? See Drogba. We need CL experience if we are to win it quickly.
As players we have plenty of players who have played in Europe. As a team maybe not.

Sign RVP you lose a young top quality player, and maybe destroy some hugely valuable team spirit in the process.

Dzeko will never be as good as RVP imho. As for team spirit I think he might already know a few players at city ;-)

All that said, I don't think Arsenal will let him go.

They will have to, for the right price - the one thing that will never happen is his contract being allowed to expire.

Put it this way - knowing Arsenal's board can you ever imagine them signing a new player on only a one-season contract for a transfer fee of £25m? Because that's exactly the same thing as letting RVP run his contract down, in terms of the economic implications.

RVP will come, based on an outgoing striker.

Don't think we'll buy him, and not sell.

Could be any of 3 apart from Aguero who will depart.
No shit!

I know i make sherlock look shit.

Thing is, read some of the comments in this thread, they don't think that.

Just thought i'd state the obvious, the obvious to some ain't quite 'obvious'.

Tevez will be off this summer.

I would not put money it mate IMO, he won't want out now not when it is getting good, we can challenge for serious trophies now - players of his age look for big lucrative contracts not going somewhere where he will have to lower his wages and for 20 - 25m it might be too much of a gamble for a club to sign him when in a year he might want out!

He will feel playing alongside Kun and conjuring a good partneship will be a ticket back into the national side as well
